 Lifetime achievement
Why?  It makes no sense, if you want to award a cartoon character the lifetime achievment award why not give it to Bugs Bunny? As far as cartoon characters go, he's a lot older, smarter, and did better cartoons in the 40s than any of the lame scooby cartoons. (The same could be said of the entire looney toons group)
Question: What exactly did Scooby Achieve? He stopped no villains, he ran from them. He was never clever or interesting, he just ate and ran. He would be a better representative of heartburn medication than animated achievement.

EXACTLY!!! What did the Brown Mutt ever do? I'd give it to Bugs Bunny in a heartbeat! This special on March 23rd should be very interesting...

I'm watching it because they're launching the Powerpuff Girls movie campaign during it.

Well, think of it this way:
When does Hollywood hand out "Lifetime Achievement" awards to an actor or director? When he or she has one foot in the grave.
I know, it's not the same. But if you think about it as the last thing they do before putting him to sleep, maybe it won't hurt so much. :D
(So says someone who actually likes Scooby-Doo. . . .)

Stupid drug addicted dog. Bugs just eats carrots, hence he's the better role-model regardless that he's mean-spiritied and quick tempered. Those are better character traits than cowardice anyway.

My theory is that they are giving the award to scooby b/c they have to hype up the scooby doo name for the upcoming crapfest which will be "Scoob Doo:The Movie". starring that talentless piece of crap Freddy Prinze Jr. GOD, I HATE HIM!! :D

Remember, he's the president of Cartoon Network.
[And, that achievement award belongs to the Line.]

Simple, because his movie is coming down the line. That's why Scooby is geting it, even though we all know they're better *coughBugsBunnycough* who could of used it.
I know there will be a plug for that movie somewhere in there.
