- The Corleones (The Godfather)
- The Tenenbaums (The Royal Tenenbaums)
- The Hoovers (Little Miss Sunshine)
- The Burnhams (American Beauty)
- The McCallisters (Home Alone)
- The Mantles (Dead Ringers)
- The Torrances (The Shining)
- The Iselins (The Manchurian Candidate)
- The Crawfords (Mommie Dearest)
- The Bates (Psycho)
- The Sawyers (Texas Chainsaw Massacre)
- The Johnsons (Pink Flamingos)

I agree with the McCallisters. They left Kevin home alone, Peter and Kate have bad wake up calls (the first one not being their fault), and they made the joke at the Miami airport about never losing their luggage in the second.

Not only that, they don't even notice when their kid's de-age like in the 4th film.

People don't acknowledge the 3rd and 4th movies because they suck.

Could the Griswolds from the "Vacation" movies be considered dysfunctional?

"Christmas Vacation" stands out the most to me.

Don't know if this counts, but.....Seeing as how the linked article is about dysfunctional movie families, it does not.

I kind of liked the third movie, but the fourth one was definitely bad and both pale in comparison to the first two films. I definitely agree with the McCallisters. I remember how they didn't even realize that their son wasn't with them on the plane until they were getting the luggage. You'd think that they would have realized that a lot sooner than that.

I disagree about the third one. It was funny in my opinion. The fourth one was a disappointment apart from some laughs.

What about The Deetz (Beeteljuice)? They were always my favorites
