View Full Version : 24: "1:00PM to 2:00PM" Talkback (Spoilers)

Okay first off, here's to hoping this is more successful than last week's super-late and super-ignored talkback thread :p
Also, I missed half the ep! And worse more, I have no sound! All of my reasoning is coming from watching from the point where Nina talks to Teri and Kim, telling them they're going to be questioned.
Alberta is really the [explentive deleted] they set her out to be - thanks to her, it looks like Tony, while not the terrorist plant we feared at the beginning, could be trouble in a different way. At least Alberta gets down to business, and, whether directly or indirectly, can help bring down the terrorists. And since Bauer is on Palmer's enemy-list, that might be a good thing.
And The Drazen Mission - only Bauer survived. As Eddie Valient said in WFRR, "THATS the connection!" Too bad Palmer is making a horrible mistake in his assumption.
We've also got Teri's pains explained, finally, but what consequences will come of this? That FBI jerk seems to be following them around - do you think they planted something in her medicine for some reason? Are we finally meeting another member of THEM?
Gaines dead. Kevin dead. New assassin on the loose and very nearby. Plan B is now in effect.
And can anyone tell me what happened in the non-close-captioned preview of next ep?

Holy smokes - this is getting better and better. I can't believe they offed Carol after he played a huge part in the first 13 episodes. This second contigency plan has me mysitified...I wonder what it is. Overall, a great start to the second arc of the series. WHat ha sme intruiged is Bauer's connection to Plamer. At the beginning of the series I wasn't to interested in that sub-plot, but now they have stepped it up a notch and it is getting awesome!

Man, another great episode. I gotta say though, the show has made me incredibly paranoid. Every single time someone looks at someone else, I get freaked out about what they might be thinking and if they might betray them! I could've sworn that Tony was gonna sell Jack out, just from the way he looked at Alberta.
Did anyone notice the bag that Palmer's assistant wanted to get to the plane? I have a bad feeling there's a bomb or something on it.
Right now there's just 2 things I want to know:
1) What's the connection with the Drazen mission, and how does it fit into people behind the assassination?
2) What the hell happened to RICK??? (I guess it could be that he just disappeared, but it doesn't make sense that he ran away)
I can't wait for the next episode!

I think Rick is long gone, for now. He got on that bus and he just left. I am wondering if he'll make his way back somehow. He has to...I got a gut feeling for this.
And I'm glad to see Tony backing Jack. I got the sense hes doing it mostly for Nina, but I'm glad. They have a newfound respect for each other, I think. Jack told Tony he trusts him, and I think that helped things between them.
As for that Bauer assitant (who I remember from super breif cameos in previous episodes - nice touch!) she is definatly up to something...

After that speech Jack gave Rick in the water tower, Rick felt that he shouldn't be there anymore because he's the one that's responsible for the whole mess. So he gets on the bus and makes his exit. Maybe he'll be back, or maybe not...

In the "scenes from next week's show" thing, they showed Rick talking to Kim on the phone. I'm surprised they killed Carrol too- although, I'm still in shock the offed Gaines in the first place.
I think it's incredibly interesting how they completly changed the show with an all new story-arc. Can't wait for more!

I'm really hating Green right now. It was clear from her conversation with Tony that she's interested only in having Jack out of the way and not in getting to the bottom of what's really happening.
There are two conversations I'm dying to see next week: the meeting between Palmer and Bauer, and Nina's response to Teri's question about her and Jack.

I am interested to see what Rick is doing contacting Kim. Does he know something about them still being in danger, perhaps?
And does Teri know about NIna and Jack. I always thought she did, although in recent episodes I'm beginning to doubt that. Could she be in the dark about this? This would definatly be interesting if she was...

During the last episode, I got the impression that Teri did know. But the preview for the next episode showed Teri asking Nina whether it was her Jack had been with. Apparantly, Teri doesn't know it for a fact. She probably suspects, but wants confirmation.

I wonder if Nina will say "yes" or no. Maybe this is something Teri wants to here, so her rape can be somewhat justified. If Jack was with somebody and it's "okay", then this tramuatic event may not have been as she perceives it. I dunno...I don't even think that statement made sense. :) Anyways, the big question is...is she pregnant? The doctor asking for a pregnancy test in this week's episode is almost a dead giveaway for yes.

Yeah. And that would certainly complicate things. Do you think Teri will confide in Nina about the rape?

I think if Nina doesn't tell Teri about her brief affair, she will. Another thing, isn't it a bit early to be taken a pregancy test? She was raped about 4 - 5 hours ago on the show. I don't know much about biology...but isn't that a bit soon?

Yo, I just rewatched my second-half recording, and noticed a few more things. They listed a number of assassins:
"Jovan Myovic, entered the country 2 days ago
Mishko Suba, also from the balkans
3rd guy, no names yet"
It wasn't clear that they caught up to the ones they named or not, but it does seem like the CTU will be running a heckuva gauntlet. The guy who killed Kevin could be 1. The fake FBI agent could be 2. And the third?
Tony is cool! I can't believe I misssed that debreifing scene with Chapelle the first time! Kudos to him!
On the 'test', was it a pregnancy test? The captions only said "Here's the test I was telling you about, I want you to take it as soon as possible", It could be to test if that cyst did anymore damage, or if it could turn from benign to dangerous.

Yep, "the test" is the pregnancy test. My bet's on pregnant. And I'm still curious about who killed Kevin. I think that it's mystery assassin #3, and that he's connected to either Palmer or Jack in some way or another. Then again, everyone on this show is connected to someone else...

Is it possible for a pregnancy test that early? If she turns out to be pregnant I will be a bit dissapointed. Then again, maybe her and Bauer get close a couple days before this happened.
And I'm betting the guy who offed Carroll is the unnamed assassin. I would like to get info on him ASAP, although I don't mind the mystery around him. I bet in the next few arcs we'll see these new assassins come out and play. They sill have to midnight to kill Palmer, so anything could happen...

Is it possible that the first photographer guy was one of those first two guys? They never gave his REAL name, right? I'm thinking the guy who killed Carroll is the unidentified guy. They said he left from Yugoslavia (which no longer exists) - is that part of the Balkans? (I'm putting too much thought into this)
Now I'm kinda curious about the fake FBI guy. I just can't wait for that conversation between Palmer and Jack!

"I'm here to see Jack Bauer."
Man I can't wait to to see what these two talk about!!
As for the Three Assasins, one of them had to be photgrapher, the other fake FBI guy, and the third unknown guy, the one who shot Carrol. Ofcourse in this show you never know who's involved and who's not, I mean that's only 3 assasins that the CTU knows about there could be more.
I can't wait for next Tuesday!!!

That does account for all the assassins, so I think it can work. I wonde rif all three of them will be going for Palmer at once, or throughout the day, lik eone at a time. There's still about 11 hours left, so it could be the latter.

If they go all at once, they'd probably have the best chance of getting him. Possibly.

Don't forget, they want both Palmer AND Bauer dead. Since that fake FBI guy was following Teri and Kim, chances are he's after Bauer, while the other two (we hadn't seen the photographer in awhile, have we?) probably are gunning for Palmer. With Palmer on alert, they'll definately need a new kind of plan for getting him.
And what Kathy said about more assassins is intriguing. Maybe they won't be straight-shot killers like the Big 3, but making sure the plan goes right, like Coffell and Carroll.
And I want to see more THEM!

That's right - those assassins are after Bauers family. I am still interested on how this all melds togethor. Palmer seeing Bauer is gonna trigger a memory or something. I really want to know what the connection is. Does Palmer think that Bauer is the bad guy still?

Looks that way. Didn't Palmer say something about Bauer being the only survivor of his team on that mission years ago. Palmer's conclusion was that Bauer blames him for the loss of his people. Or something to that effect. Hopefully Jack can straighten out that misconception.
Another thought. Well maybe not a thought. This is kind of way out there, but what if Jack is involved more than we know and does blame Palmer. I know, that's completely farfetched. But it's interesting to consider. It would certainly be a twist if Jack was the bad guy.

That would be an interesting twist...but I don't know if it would work. We've seen him for the past 13 hours and he seems to be one of the few honest people there. I think he's safe, mainly how badly he reacted to Jamie's death. He greived for a moment, then got right on going.
I am wondering when his lack of sleep will catch up to him, if it will...

Jack might not turn out to be a bad guy, but I can see that its possible for him to hate Palmer's guts. That would be interesting, having a bodyguard whose past team you pretty much killed off.
Speaking of that team, I'm an idiot and just realized that Drazen is the bad guy, and Bauer's secret mission was called the Drazen Mission. Whether it was an assassination attempt, a raid of some sort, or whatever was never mentioend, but he, apparently, failed. Maybe it really is personal.

Holy smokes...why didn't I catch this? I think this could be the huge factor that ties it all togethor. Palmer and Bauer were both involve dinthis, and now the bad guy wants revenge. It actually makes perfect sense...
