I'm actually kind of excited about this show, being a Connan Fan and all. I'm really looking forward and recently during one of it's Ad Campaigns I saw a joke or gag if you will that was lifted DIRECTLY from Sealab 2010 ..

Remember the Black and White Debby thing ?

They ahda similar gag in the promo but it was about a guy and it Had Andy saying : You can't just call one guy black "Dave". It's kind of offensive.

His Co-Worker: How is it offensive ? The guys black isn't he ?

Andy: Yeah but if you do that then you have to call the other "Dave" White Dave....etc.etc.


It was still just as funny as when I ahd seen it on Adult Swim but it makes me wonder. I know this shows been in production since last year, so it could of just been a coincedense. But i don't know.

So in addition to what you think of the upcoming show, what do you think of this little coincedense ?

I think it may be another gem in Foxes Pocket. I mean they've
already got my all time favorite show Undeclared which according some critics may or may not be renewed...

The Tick was a gem in Fox's pocket. Honestly, I don't think they can tell the difference between a gem and a piece of who wants to marry a millionaire.

I agree, but lately with FOX it's been about ratings not quality or potential. They advertsie these crap shows (like crazy) that will bring in millions for about 1 night.

And usually neglect the better shows unless they keep a steady rating status, for example Bernie Mac. They hype it because of the numbers it pulls in, not because it's good.

Family guy was a great show but Fox stopped hyping it and usually only the hardcore fans knew when it was on. I even misseda n episode or two because they'd prempt it for a week or two fors omething dumb then bring it back with no notice.

This is what has me scared about Undeclared, they aren't hyping it as much which means either the ratings have dropped or they have no plans to renew it.

The Tick wasn't given a fair chance..and FOX did nothing to help the matter. They listened to critics and not the fans... Hopefully Andy's show won't meet such a fate but who knows ?

ARCtU looks like it could be very funny. But it also looks like a comedy that might be a little too "out there" for it to make a big splash in the mainstream. BTW, what's its timeslot? That's basically all the difference there. If it's on a Thursday or Friday, I think we can pretty much kiss it goodbye.
