Yup..it had some awesome lines,
Terry : Lady, you're creaping me out!
Bruce: You? She KISSED me!
Terry: There's no way I'm wearing the Robin Suit! (is there a Robin Beyond Suit? What would it look like?)

Out of the Past is the best thing ever. Batman Beyond really needed a 4th season. They had a good thing going with that show and it was definitely cut short. I think that's kind of ironic, considering the also great Superman was cut short so work could begin on Batman Beyond.
It's a tragic story, the tale of the superhero. I pray Justice League is not the last animated project in this string of Bruce Timm series.

I watched Out Of the Past for my second time tonight (my first time seeing it on TV, I'd seen it before thanks to the magic of KaZaA), and I loved it even more the second time around.
I got HUGE chills down my spine when I heard the original Batman theme all techno-fied.
I watched it with a bunch of people who hadn't seen it before, so when Talia said "Beloved." in the Ra's voice, they all went "EWWWWWWWWWWW!!!" It was pretty funny.
Great episode. I wish every episode of BBeyond had been this good.

I loved this episode. It is definately one of the best of the series.
Before this episode came out, I wasn't that big of a Talia fan. She's not really a favourite of mine - I respected her as a character, but still found her to be little more than a plot device in Ra's Al Ghul stories. This episode, somehow, changed that for me; maybe that's just because she was never the "star" of an episode before.
(It's been a long time since I saw OFF BALANCE, so I don't remember the Bats/Talia connections from that one all too well.)
It's too bad that the BATMAN BEYOND writers didn't have more nods to the past. These stories were often their best: MELTDOWN, OUT OF THE PAST, RETURN OF THE JOKER...
Really, there are about 15 other great episodes out of the BATMAN BEYOND universe, and the rest of them are mostly forgetable. What I wouldn't have given to see what happened to just two or three more of my favourite heroes or villains...then I'd be a happy man.

I think it's the only episode I really like of Batman Beyond. The musical made it a classic. Anyone got screen shots?
I really like Talia and it was good to see her...him back :( Ra's is one of my favorites.

whatever happened to the batman musical that was supposed to be written?

Well, it turned out that people didn't like the "campy" version of Batman (who thought it?), so the Bat-musical didn't ever see the light of day. Wasn't Meatloaf working on that at some point?
I'd like to see a Bat-musical - but not in the style of what we saw on OUT OF THE PAST, of course - something more in the vein of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA would probably work very nicely.
Anyone here happen to catch the Superman musical that hit the stage in the 50's (I think)?

I personally thought it was a highlight in the entire run of Batman Beyond. Not only that, I thought it was an ode to old time fans like us who've been with Batman since that early day back in September. My only gripe is that Helen Slater did not return to voice Talia. I really preferred Slater's voice over the new actress (who's name escapes me) but she did a tolerable job - not bad considering.
But it was so great to hear David Warner again...

I've always loved the voice actor for Ra's al Ghul, David Warner. He is a grand British actor who most of you will likely know from his role as Professor Jordan Perry in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze.

I had no idea Helen Slater did the voice of Talia! Is this the same chickie who played Supergirl? She made us believe that a girl could fly. But as I understand it, that movie was kind of a crash landing.

It is indeed the same Helen Slater. And as for Supergirl...well...let's just say the movie crash landed, did major damage, had massive casualties, and never got back up. The movi was a bomb. Not as big as Steel, but a bomb nontheless.
Now...back to Out of the Past...

1st was Zatanna, then Lois, Selina, then two of Babs..Barbra Gorden herself...something that bothered a great many of the fans of the show.

Well, in TAS there was an Episode called "Zatanna" where we meet her (she's a magician) where she's accussed of stealing a large sum of money...
We also learn that when Bruce was in training, he trained with her father, Zatara...
In the comics, Zatanna is much more powerful @ magic, and casts spells by saying things backwards..
