TV stars who could do cartoon voice-overs

I don't think we've ever had this kind of thread before, but this is about TV stars who could give cartoon voice-overs a shot, but haven't done it, yet, if you know what I mean. No, I'm not talking about TV stars who've actually done cartoon voice-overs(Clint Howard, Steven Weber, Marion Ross, Mike Farrell, etc.) or well-established cartoon voice-over artists(Frank Welker, Jim Cummings, B.J. Ward, Tress MacNeille, etc.)- I'm talking about TV stars, who's voices sound good enough for cartoon voice-over work, but just haven't yet been given a chance at it. This is definitely something to think about, but think really hard about this- it can be complex. I'll let you posters think about this subject prior to posting before I give you my thoughts about what TV star could do cartoon voice-overs.

Eric McCormack (Will Truman on Will & Grace). I don't think he's done any, and if he does do one, he'll be the final Will & Grace star to do a voice over, since Sean Hayes (Jack McFarland) was Brain in Igor, Megan Mullally (Karen Walker) did a guest voice on a King of the Hill episode, and Debra Messing (Grace Adler) was in Open Season and Garfield: The Movie.

I personally believe Kristen Belle would make a great voice actor, considering how much energy and charisma she puts in her roles. So far she's only had a role in Assasin's Creed, but I'd like to see her in more rolls.

Has Christopher Walken ever done any voice work? He seems like he'd certainly carry over well into an animated series.

I think Teri Hatcher might make a good VA, depending on the role. Her voice seems tailor made for animation.

Micheal McDonald (Mad TV) also seems to be suited for animation. I know he did a guest voice on Invader Zim (Along with Mo Collins they voiced Zim's 'robo-parents'), but I'd like to see him do an ongoing series in some form.

Well, Miley Cyrus voiced that Penny girl in the movie Bolt.

Micheal McDonald (Mad TV) also seems to be suited for animation. I know he did a guest voice on Invader Zim (Along with Mo Collins they voiced Zim's 'robo-parents'), but I'd like to see him do an ongoing series in some form.
He played Ghandi on Clone High. That show had a lot of MadTV and SNL cast members.

She's going to be voicing in the Astro Boy movie next year.

If Bolt gets made into a series, I think it'll be interesting to see how Miley Cyrus does in a regular role thats not Hannah Montana. I still don't think shes much of an actress, but maybe she can chnage my mind...

You're all on top of things. I have a couple of performers in mind who could do cartoon voice-overs:

Crystal Bernard- I still remember her line as Helen from an episode of Wings when she uttered the line, "Helen's not here, anymore!" She sounded like Laff-a-lympics' Mrs. Creeply. I sometimes wonder why animators haven't approached her about any cartoon voice-over roles? Her voice is good enough for animation- for all I know, she could voice any kind of character, including an elderly lady, a halloween character like Vampira or she could even succeed Julie Bennett as the voice of Cindy Bear in the Yogi Bear cartoons.

Gary Valentine- After his brother, Kevin James(Gary and Kevin's real birth name is Knipfing) was heard in Paramount's Barnyard film, I sometimes wonder why Gary hasn't been given the opportunity to perform cartoon voice-overs. Like Kevin, Gary also has a voice that's good enough for animation. BTW, on The King of Queens, they were cousins, Doug and Danny Heffernan, respectively.

Crystal and Gary's voices are good enough for animation. It just baffles me why animators haven't yet called upon either of them to perform cartoon voice-over roles. Now that you know what this thread is about, let's continue this discussion.

Michael McDonald was the animated character "Little Nestor" in Mad TV shorts.

This is a weird choice, but I think that Pat Sajak might be good for this just because his voice is so unusual. Plus, he's so goofy and sarcastic on Wheel of Fortune, I think that personality might carry over well to a cartoon character.

I also think that Brad Garrett could do it. He did very well on the American dub of Robbie the Reindeer: Hooves of Fire in my opinion.

Brad Garrett already does cartoon voice-overs, namely 2 Stupid Dogs' Big Dog, Superman's Lobo and other cartoon characters.

I've always thought Dennis Haysbert (24) had a great voice that would be impressive in animation. He's also a top-notch and very nuanced actor, so the subtleties of good voice acting is something he might be very good at.
