Since I didn't have a chance to review it a couple of weeks ago I'm going to do it now.

I think any sort of big emotional connection between Peter and Lois where Lois cracks down on Peter's retarded behavoir and Peter acts sort of serious about it all for Chris to point out is a movie refrence kind of shows you that you're not suppose to care that sort of way about the characters. Maybe you sort of use to but defintley not nowadays. Which to me isn't the worst thing. I'm kind of sick of the all learning lessons motive so if they got out of the way now Peter likes who he is and isn't going to change so they're not going to bother focusing on that then more power to them. And since Stewie isn't obviously going to act any better and is just glad to not be home alone then there is no emotional connection in this ep. How about a more comedic one? Well that's also kind of off and on: there were some good jokes like Chris and Carl discussing a plothole in the Lord of the Rings movies, The Lost cutaway (since this one unlike the one in "Petergeist" actually showed they bothered watching the show even if it's kind of dated with Jack and Kate not being on the island... now in the series continuity). Peter happy he can bring along his birds and be himself, Stewie shooting up the porn, Visiting the twin towers (hey I like the polticial humor so long as it actually bothers pointing out something relevent like in this case why are they attacking Iraq in this war for actions not done by the Iraquis?) Peter somehow getting over to the other car and then calling Lois and the others crashie (joke of the ep actually) and Stewie not being able to clean the McBurgertown restrooms all that well. On the other hand the entire massage opening, most of Stewie being alone by himself, the whole song number (even with a 4th wall cue it was pretty just padding for time) and a lot of the cutaways (really didn't need another Muppets one) just weren't very funny at all. It's a weird balance of enjoyable jokes and not so enjoyable ones that makes FG hard to swallow nowadays since in shows like these they aren't even really trying for character plots or pathos at all.

Man, that was awful-perhaps one of the unfunniest episodes ever. Seriously, it was like the writers weren't even trying.
