There are reviews for stuff I get excited about, reviews for stuff I wish were better, and reviews for stuff I wish I hadn't needed to watch at all.
3 guesses which one this is.

For some reason I can't help but enjoy how minimalist the splash image is of this.
It's like a reflection of your low opinion that you decided to respond in kind to this effortless drivel and not make any effort in giving it a decent splash image.

I saw it.
I thought it was kind obnoxious.

I agree, the only funny thing was Ogre Claus.

Honestly the "ogre's are awkward" joke has run it's course. As has Shrek gets angry and pushes away his friends/family only to learn his lesson. It's very cookie cutter. I suppose it always has been but the lovely jaunt at Disney movies that Shrek was in it's inception seems to have been lost in a mess of oversaturation.
I will say Puss getting distracted by a ball orniment was pretty dang funny.

The special was pretty boring, and there wasn't really anything about it that could make it a future classic.

A souless mess created as part of Dreamwork's insane brand loyalty brainwashing. I love a good Christmas special, getting to see favourite characters getting involved with end of year celebration...this is not a good Christmas special. This is targetted at ADD kids hyped up on sugar, the Shrek elements painfully clawing their way into a festive season that doesn't need them. If you want to push bland Shrek merchandise on present buying parents, fine. But this special was uneeded and has no original ideas. It's not promoting the spirit of the season, it's promoting the Shrek characters.
Ugggghhhhh.

The "If I've already lost you line" seemed a tad pretentious. Other than that, I agree with you completely.

So apparently, on Tuesday, my sister's school put this special on the in-school TV channel and forced everyone to watch it.
Those poor poor junior high students...
