View Full Version : "Jeff Dunham's Very Special Christmas Special" Talkback
Anyone check out Jeff Dunham's newest TV special? The editing was pretty bad (Walter got, like, 2 minutes of screen time), but the Achmed segment had me rolling. Hopefully the DVD will do the special some justice.

I meant to watch this but I got sucked into playing a video game. :D If the editing was really that bad I guess I didn't miss much.

Achmed: "Will you hold me?"
I found it to be funny although an hour felt too tight. Use of the Guitar Guy was funny, although revisiting his "drug use" became old. I did enjoy the new word of the evening- poliosis.

I saw it, and it was pretty cool. Yeah, it is kind of sad that Walter had a short amount of time. He had a lot more in the previous specials.
The Achmed segment had me cracking up too. The "poliosis" thing just was awesome as Jeff and "Guitar Guy" were struggling to get through the bit. Also, Bubba J was alright with the Santa/urination thing. Peanut and Jose to close out the show was cool, and the reading of "The Night Before Christmas" made me think a little when Peanut was going through them.
I know now that I have to get Santa some sugar-free cookies for his 'round-the-world trip. Santa? A diabetic? Wow.

Well, I think it was edited as much as it was so people would go out and buy the DVD come Tuesday. The special was about 40 minutes long, but the usual Jeff Dunham show is between 70 and 80 minutes. The DVD will probably be twice as long as this special was.

I'll definitely have to buy the DVD, as it was obvious a lot was cut down to fit it into an hour-long slot. That said, it was still pretty funny. Achmed's segment was the highlight for me. I loved when Guitar Guy (who was he again?) was trying so hard not to crack up then finally lost it with the "poliosis" bit. Haha!!! Achmed's "Jingle Bombs" was hysterical, and Peanut's running commentary on The Night Before Christmas was great.

To quote Peanut:
"That's good, that's good, that's good, THAT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!"
I'm definetly getting the DVD.
