Here's a thread where you can post pleasent surprises you've had..

Take me..

I emptied my bank account paying my rent on Friday, and being hungry, I really wanted to eat...so on a whim, I checked @ the ATM..and Lo & Behold, I had $300 in my account! WooHoo! I've got food now, and life is good...but I was pleasently surprised to find money in my account...not that I'm complaining =D

Pleasant Surprise:

After your superior with whom you've worked for 4 years retires and the company chooses a walkin as her replacement instead of you, you get a phone call from another facility and an offer for a better position with better pay! Now I probably make more than the girl who took my old superior's place, and I'm working in a much better place and a department head, too! :D

The other day I was sitting at a bus stop in the rain and a girl came up to me and just gave me an umbrella. I almost forgot to thank her because I was so shocked. That was a pleasant surprise.

Then the next day, after my Saturday morning class, it was raining pretty hard, and a kid I know from the class offered to give me a ride home. Without this ride, it would've been at least a half hour walk (I had the new umbrella, but still). That was a pleasant surprise.

Earlier today I was standing in line at 711 and the weird guy in front of me was waiting for the cashier. He turned around and established eye contact. Then he started asking me things like "How's it going?" and "Where you walkin to?" in a really creepy way. I told him I lived in the development next to the 711 so he mentioned how he could've given me a ride, but I was close enough to where I was going. That whole experience was not pleasant, but very disturbing.

The first two things though were highly pleasant.

I was looking through my wallet the other day, and discovered I've got $40 more than I thought I did. Huzzah!

I went to the market place with my mom over the weekend--it's like an outdoor mall type things with loads of different booths. You can find stuff there that will land up in the malls and stuff, but can get it for a lot less. And also find things you really can't find anywhere else. Well, I didn't find was I came for, but I did come upon a Batman visor with the old Batman logo and was psyched and bought it right away. It's so awesome. Hmm, and today, while I was cleaning up the band room during my TA period, like I do everytime at the beginning of that period, picking up trash, putting away chairs and stands *yawn*...I found 50 cents. It wasn't much obviously, but I went outside and bought some chips and went and read my book in the corner. It was a pleasant surprise only for the fact that I didn't have to waste any of my own money, hehe.

Surprise french fries at the bottom of the bag! You know how you have a meal, with burger and fries, finish it, and then find a fry or two (or maybe more...) at the bottom of the bag. Well, I know it gives some people a kick. :D

And tomorrow those checks you wrote will hit the bank and will over draw the account and the bank will get tons of NSFs from you! WOO HOO!!!! :p

(sorry, that's the banker in me talking! :) )

My plesant surprise was I got a Wal Mart gift card back today that I had found at work and turned in. Nobody claimed it so it was mine. It has $13.00 on it. Gee, that's good for a DVD at least!

My most recent pleasant surprise was winning a birthday gift for a friend on Ebay handsdown. No one bid against me once! I was quite surprised, since it was such a neat thing to get! So, needless to say I was very happy!

Last Saturday night/Sunday morning. Not a complete surprise, but pleasant nevertheless. :)

Fear not, I didn't use violence. I simply explained how I felt about the stalker and just what I would do it continued. It was cute at first and I let it go to far. So I handled it and explained that not only do they not want to mess with me, but there's those guys that drive the car's with the blinking lights that frown upon such behavior.

The other day I found a Sacajewia dollar coin and several quarters on the seat of a tram....
Quarters are extremely coveted :)

Finding out I won't be seeing an annoying family member when I thought I would.

When my parents make a decision against what I want, and then change it in my favor.

Getting something I never expected to get.

Getting a french fry in your Curly Fries at Arby's. :D

Well one time when I was watching TV and one of my favorite shows came on I hit info (Digital Cable) and it gave the description of one of the episodes that was kinda boring but I flip it to it anyways and it turns out they had the wrong episode listing and it was one of the better episodes.
