We move on to November and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling moves on to a new thread. This will also be an appropriate place to discuss the November pay-per-view, Turning Point on Nov. 9.

http://library.toonzone.net/talkbacks/spike.jpghttp://library.toonzone.net/talkbacks/tna.jpgPREVIEW FOR TONIGHT'S "iMPACT" ON SPIKE TV: STEINER RETURNS WITH THE MAIN EVENT MAFIA, LADDER MATCH, FOLEY & STLYES AND MORE

Tonight, TNA returns to SpikeTV for two hours of Total Nonstop Action as we count down the hours until Sunday's "Turning Point" Pay-Per-View epic event!

The following is a preview of what is scheduled for the huge broadcast (card subject to change)

- "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner is back in TNA, and this Thursday night The Main Event Mafia plan to officially induct him into their group! With the Mafia growing bigger (and badder!), how will the young lions like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles react? Tune in and find out!

- TNAwrestling.com has learned that Executive Shareholder Mick Foley has requested time to speak with "The Phenomenal" AJ Styles! After his face to face with Sting this past week, what does Foley want to address with The Phenomenal One?

- A Ladder Match is also scheduled for the broadcast, with the winners earning a shot at the TNA World Tag Team Championship: Team 3D vs. The Latin American Xchange vs. Abyss & Matt Morgan vs. Tanahashi & Volador

- Also, a Knockouts Tag Team bout is set to take place with TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed vs. Taylor Wilde and Roxxi

- Plus, in a Six Man War main event it will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting, Kurt Angle and Kevin Nash taking on "Black Machismo" Jay Lethal, Eric Young and Consequences Creed!

All this and much more this Thursday night on Spike at 9pm ET - plus more news on the November 9 "Turning Point" Pay-Per-View epic event!

If the purpose of moving the TNA Impact encore to Saturday moening was to allow night workers to get the opportunity to watch it, then it works for me. The Saturday morning is much more convenient when I have meetings many Thursday nights, or might get distracted by a football or basketball game. Onto the show.

The two sides arguing at the beginning just didn't work. Either Jim Cornette or Jeff Jarrett should have come out then and made the matches for that night if they really wanted to have that shoot, or they should have just had it be Christian and Booker. Really Christian, Booker, Samoa Joe, and maybe a bit to Kurt Angle were the only ones who made that shoot work. Nobody really cares what Steiner has to say. He, like Kevin Nash, is washed up and should just sit on the sidelines now.

So the Main Event Mafia participates in 3 matches and wins all 3 by heel means. Really, they should have sent Jacquelyn and Sharmell to the back before the match began. They've screwed too many people out of matches in the past, so they shouldn't have them come out at all now.

Kurt, Kevin Nash, and Sting vs. Eric Young, Jay Lethal, and Consquences Creed ended way to fast. Basically everybody got one good move in.

So Awesome Kong and Raisha Saeid have a new ally in Rhaka Kahn. They really should have waited until Turning Point for her turn, since she would have been awesome actually facing Kong, never being able to beat her, and then choosing to join her beforehand. Did anybody see the supposed "gouge" that sent Roxxi to the hospital? I've had paper cuts hat are deeper and bleed worse than that.

Nash costs Joe by allowing Steiner to sneak on the brass knuxs. Way too predictable. At least WWE came up with a creative twist in having Chris Jericho win by similiar means this past Monday.

Can anyone say Matt Morgan and Abyss will be the next tag champs? I see them having them win the tag championship and then having the two heels- Beer Money Inc. and 3D, battle for the #1 contender's spot since Beer Money keeps costing 3D the shots they get.

It wasn't as good as any WWE show this week, but at least Impact had one entertaining spot.

Now to my Turning Point picks:
http://www.iwebie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/sting-aj-styles.gif
DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
"The Phenomenal" AJ Styles vs. Champion "The Icon" Sting
Sting retains

http://www.iwebie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/samoa-joe-kevin-nash.jpg
DOUBLE MAIN EVENT: REVENGE MATCH
"The Samoan Submission Machine" Samoa Joe vs. "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash
Samoa Joe wins

http://www.iwebie.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/booker-t-christian-cage.jpg
TNA LEGENDS CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
"The Instant Classic" Christian Cage vs. Champion Booker T
Christian Cage wins by DQ allowing him to remain neutral and allowing Booker to retain the new title.

TNA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH
The Motor City Machineguns vs. Champions Beer Money, Inc.
Beer Money, Inc. retains

Abyss vs. Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle
Abyss finally gets a moment of revenge.

Grudge Match: "The War Machine" Rhino vs. X Division Champion Sheik Abdul Bashir
Rhino wins.

Knockouts Tag Team Match: TNA Women's Champion Awesome Kong & Raisha Saeed vs. Taylor Wilde & Roxxi
Something tells me Taylor Wilde and Roxxi will get the upset.

Plus, an X Division championship seeding match to determine the top contenders with Sonjay Dutt, Eric Young, “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal, Consequences Creed, Petey Williams, Jimmy Rave, Homicide, Doug Williams, Tanahashi & Volador
I think this is the hardest match to pick, so I say Consquences Creed finally gets the shot he's deserved.

I enjoyed Steiner's promo at the top of the show more for its over the top-ness than what he actually had to say.

I think Beer Money is going to regret costing 3D the ladder match win, I fail to see how facing Abyss & Morgan will be a better move for them. If they don't lose Sunday, I bet they will in the near future.

I so don't care about Angle wanting more of Jeff Jarrett. If I were Double J I would have him arrested for making weekly threats against my children. It's stupid and crosses the line (ha) of what I can find believable. It's too much soap opera, not enough wrestling.

I pretty much got two things out of the Foley-Styles-Sting confrontation. A.J. is apparently a Republican based on what Mick said and I'm wondering what a "silver sproon" is.

Six-man #2 seemed awfully short, the younger stars were a little low on the totem pole to face such big main eventers. I guess they used the bigger names on other matches.

I found what Rhino had to say about Bashir more racist than anything Bashir has ever said. Then there was the part where he threatened Lauren because he's a moron.

Did anybody see the supposed "gouge" that sent Roxxi to the hospital? I've had paper cuts hat are deeper and bleed worse than that.No kidding. Lauren made it sound like she was going to bleed out right there on the floor and then wouldn't get out of the way of the medical team.

Well Rhino has always sucked so it's not surprising he comes off like the heel when he is supposed to be face.

http://library.toonzone.net/talkbacks/spike.jpghttp://library.toonzone.net/talkbacks/tna.jpgPREVIEW FOR THURSDAY'S HUGE "iMPACT!" BROADCAST ON SPIKE: THE AFTERMATH OF TURNING POINT

This Thursday night, TNA Wrestling returns to Spike for two hours of Total Nonstop Action featuring the aftermath of the Turning Point Pay-Per-View event!

The below is an early preview of the huge broadcast. The card is subject to change:

- The big story going into Thursday's "iMPACT!" is how the TNA originals like Samoa Joe and AJ Styles will react to the Main Event Mafia's total domination at Turning Point. The M.E.M. won all of their bouts, leaving the young lions of TNA at a huge disadvantage going into Thursday's broadcast. Is the war already over? How will the TNA originals react?

- Immediately following Sunday's Pay-Per-View, Executive Shareholder Mick Foley told TNAwrestling.com that he had met with TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett - and the two agreed that there will be THREE huge title matches on Thursday's broadcast starting at 9ET on SpikeTV! Who will get the shots - and who will defend their gold? Will The Main Event Mafia be forced to put their championships on the line? Tune in and find out!

- Speaking of the Main Event Mafia, they will add yet another member to the group this Thursday as - stipulated by his loss to Booker T at the PPV - "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage must join them! What will happen on Thursday when Cage is forced to side with Sting, Nash, Angle, Booker and Steiner? Will all hell break loose - or will Cage accept his new role in TNA?

- Plus, the broadcast will feature The Main Event Mafia's "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner vs. "The War Machine" Rhino! Two of the biggest bad-asses in TNA Wrestling collide this Thursday night! Will Rhino be pulled into the war between the Main Event Mafia and the TNA Originals?

All this and much more this Thursday on "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV, including news on TNA's "Final Resolution" Pay-Per-View on Sunday, December 7

It's a good thing the TNA picks don't count in TWE. 2-6 at the PPV certainly doesn't look good, but I hate that they had the Main Event Mafia win all the matches.

Onto tonight. I read the spoilers online Monday, and I can say after watching it that the only match that surprised me was Eric Young beating Sheik Abdul-Bashir, though I've heard his reign won't be too long. It was good to see 3D get some revenge on Beer Money, Inc., but as Brother Ray said AJ & Joe could easily be the future of tag wrestling if they had them work together more often.

What is the deal with the MCMG? They are too inconsistent and are causing the originals to implode. They cost Lethal the title to Sting. They showed complete disrespect to Mick Foley as well. Their commitment now basically seems useless. Instead of having Christian remain neutral, they should have just had the Guns remain neutral and cost both sides regularly.

So, the Beautiful People want Sarah Palin in their corner now. Why? She has basically said she's staying in politics, so expect some celebrity impersonator at "Final Resolution."

Exactly why did they have the beatdown of Petey Williams? At least his injury looked a little more real. Also, it looks like Mick Foley's words to Sting are coming through sinc he didn't participate in either of the two beatdowns tonight.

Finally, I doubt we've seen the last of Christian Cage. How stupid would it be to announce one of your biggest stars is going to the rival company? I'd be glad if he did, since I could easily see him feud on either RAW or SmackDown! at this point for any of the 4 main titles, but it would also give them ratings they don't need.

"Christian Gets Made"?! TNA really needs to stop with the titles. Most of them are stupid and the idea of a wrestling episode having an official title is stupid even if they were somehow good titles.

Shane Sewell needs to be put in the ring and now. Attacking one of the competitors and then counting him down for three is completely unacceptable. I'm tired of this song and dance. He needs to face Bashir either next week or at Final Resolution for any of this crap to have meant anything. It can't be his personality trait. Rudy Charles gets distracted by the hot women, Slick Johnson wears socks & shorts and Shane Sewell attacks the wrestlers when they disrespect him. No.

I guess Petey won't be hanging out with Scott Steiner anymore. This was not a surprised, but needed to be addressed. Is there a special shampoo for bleach or do you have to dye it back? :p

Lethal was an idiot. You win the World Title anyway you can. If that had been Nash on the apron and Angle in the ring, you know Sting would have taken his shot. I suppose the Guns violated the goodie two-shoes rules, but you don't let an assist distract you, you take it.

I don't care much for Sarah Palin, but Velvet Sky dressed as Sarah Palin totally has my support! :D

I was highly disappointed that the Main Event Mafia outed Christian like that. The money couldn't have been that good for Nash if there was an offer and Booker willingly set his bridge on fire, so I doubt there was ever a new contract offer there. I hope Christian does leave, he doesn't deserve to suffer under this crappy writing any longer. I hope he thinks about his possible last TNA moment as he makes his final decision about his future. It would serve TNA right to lose the only big name that came to them completely by choice.

TNA still has one major advantage over WWE: I know I won't have to see any "Cena is great. Cena is wonderful. Cheer for Cena." promos on Thursday night! THANK GOD!

WWE has the far superior video game, though.... so it's a trade off.

Cena's a better worker than people give him credit for. Being a good worker doesn't mean doing a ton of moves, despite what some fans think.

I'm a Cena supporter, but even I'm getting sick of the video packages. If it were just on Raw, the brand he actually wrestles on, then I'd be cool with it, since he's not on there right now. But seeing them on every show is getting old, quick.

As for TNA (to keep it on-topic)? I'm barely paying attention anymore. And with the horrible main-event of next months PPV, and what happens next week with the X-Title (both are on next weeks show, so I won't spoil them), I'm even less exited for the show now.

I'll still watch, because, you know, it's on. But I can't even remember the last time I've bought one of their PPVs or DVDs, or spent money on them at all.

TNA is so playing it safe and not breaking new ground right now it's not even funny. They should really take down that 'Cross the Line' promo.

ODB finding the Karen's Angle set is not nearly as fun as Kramer finding the Merv Griffin set.

Cornette did the right then giving the belt back to Bashir. I was amazed no one did anything about that last week. I was glad he threatened Shane too, that went too far.

I'm not sure if Kong's attack will mean a premature end to "Hermie's Hotseat" but since it's on the website, I can skip it, which is a nice feature.

...Oh and Velvet Sky, still amazing.

Caught bits & pieces. Specifically, the end of the Christy-Raisha match, and Team 3D swerving the MEM (we think; knowing Russo, he'll switch things back at the PPV).

I think I can break down Kurt Angle's supposed 12 World titles thus:

He's got, what, 2 Olympic gold medals (which translate to Olympic titles)?
1 IWGP title
2 (at least) TNA titles
1 NWA title (before TNA seceded from NWA, IIRC)
6 WWE/WWF titles between 2000-2006

They should, then, amend it to 12 World AND Olympic titles. Discount the Olympic medals, and that leaves Kurt even with Jeff Jarrett at 10 World titles. Making it 12 is a cheap shot at old nemesis Triple H, and puts Kurt in the discussion over the pursuit of Ric Flair's 16 World titles. Minus those medals, the order is:

1. Flair (16)
2. HHH (12)
3. (tie) Jarrett & Angle (10)

Jeff won all 10 of his titles (WCW & NWA) between 2000-06 as well. Now you know why Kurt is so obsessed with JJ.;) :p

"TNA Frontline"? Did Rhino work all week on that? (The graphics department apparently whipped up the logo in minutes. :p )

It seems to me that declaring people to be not ready is exactly like something the Main Event Mafia would say. Nice work, Rhino. Another stellar promo.

I like the first part of the Turkey Bowl, but I don't like the turkey suit at the end. As soon as the final three were set, I knew Shelley was going to end up in the suit with Rhino and Bashir as the other choices. I like the series of matches, but not that part.

Alex Shelley on Mick Foley's style: "He looks like the CEO of bum fights."

Unless it's the... ummm... "actress" from the Hustler video, I highly doubt Sarah Palin will actually be there next week. I'm sure Velvet Sky will be though and that's enough for me.

Team 3D swerving the MEM (we think; knowing Russo, he'll switch things back at the PPV).I'm expecting that as well, I'll be shocked if we don't see that rather than if we do.

-- Internally, TNA officials believe Christian Cage is through with the company. They did make an attempt to get him to stay, even holding a meeting with him asking him what it would take for him to stay with the company. TNA even had some of the top wrestlers individually try and talk him out of the leaving the company, but he wouldn't commit. Had Cage stayed in TNA, he would have been the main talker on the babyface side against the Main Event Mafia. WWE sources believe he's coming in while TNA believes Cage will be linked to Edge upon his return to the company. With Edge's position in WWE, TNA believes the spot is worthy of the heavier schedule. However, Cage going to WWE doesn't come without risk. In TNA, he's guaranteed a position high up on the card whereas in WWE, Vince McMahon was never too high on him during his last run in the company as he didn't see too much in him.

One of the reasons TNA often holds multiple person matches during pay-per-views is because company president Dixie Carter doesn't like the idea of paying performers not competing on the big cards. As a result, TNA does what they can to have everyone work no matter what. In WWE, the pay-per-view spots are typically reserved for the premiere talent of the company with dozens of midcard and low-end performers often being left off the cards.
-- Last week's edition of Impact drew a 1.10 cable rating with 1.4 million viewers overall. The program did a 0.80 in Males 18-34 and 0.68 in Males 35-49. Here are the segment-by-segment numbers: The X Division tag match featuring Sonjay Dutt & Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Jay Lethal & Consequences Creed match lost 76,000 viewers. The Knockouts match pitting The Beautiful People vs. Christy Hemme & Sojourner Bolt gained 38,000 viewers. The debut of ODB's talk show, "ODB's Angle," was a big flop. Her interview with Sharmell lost 114,000 viewers. The AJ Styles & Samoa Joe vs. Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley match gained 127,000 viewers. A match pitting Booker T and Eric Young gained 13,000 viewers. The main event of the show featuring Kurt Angle & Kevin Nash vs. Matt Morgan & Abyss lost 25,000 viewers. The final segment of Impact featuring Mick Foley, Angle, Jeff Jarrett and Rhino gained 38,000 viewers and drew the show's peak rating of a 1.13.
