View Full Version : Has Anyone Seen these commercial's

This one's been airing for a whille every cartoon at the Network calls in sick and the only thing to air is a 24 hour Quicky Kuala marathon.

And this one was my favorite and i wish i still had it taped or an MP3.

It talked about all the various shows and some guy would say Cartoon Network!!! and the had Droopy saying "Alright Boys!!"

Gosh i loved that ad

Anybody seen the ad where Scrappy sits outside the CCF studio and complains about how the Cartoon Cartoons get all the credit? He even makes Dexter cry! :p

I have seen that one, and it is sure funnly, and weird.

Also he yells alot at the Cartoon Cartoon people, since they have taken the popularlty out on scrappy do. :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I love that commercial! I also like teh Scrappy-Doo one. Anyone remember the one wher Ug (or whatever) has to take Edd to a recording session?

My ABSOLUTE favorite would be the one where The Mystery Machine is travelling along,and stop in front of an old hermit. Fred says...

"Psst. Yeah,you. Wanna buy some speakers?"

Hermit: "Huh?"

Hilarious! I laugh every time that comes on.

I remember that one! I taped it too. It was so funny. LOL! :D

No one can touch CN when it comes to promos IMO.

Just look how the CB promos have come along. Very artistic, and it makes me want to watch it again, and again.

I personally like the parking lot promo with Fred, Chicken, and some guy (Herculoid?) vs. the guy from Speed Racer.

the new scrappy one is hilarious!!! i've never seen the fred selling speakers it sounds great though is there a web site that has these for download i'd love to have them all
now i just remember my favorite the one where the wonder woman and all the old school jl are at the movie theater and they need snacks!! hilarious and the new one with the airplane seats is pretty good too

Heh. I've never heard of those. I wish somebody would record them.

So far the Mojo Jojo "Alpha Male", which I've mentioned before, is still my favorite...but the Scrappy Doo is fast getting up there. Note when he screams about the "kings and queens of Cartoon Network", Red Guy passes by in the background just then (metahumor moment)..or the "uh-oh" look on Shaggy's face as he ducks out of the scene so as not to be noticed by his tantrummy ex-co-star....
It's great how they match the animation in the bumpers and promos fairly closely to the original shows...[Red Guy]Now that shows love! *deep chuckle*[/Red Guy]

The Scrappy Doo with the Cartoon Cartoons bit is satire at its best. It's even bigger validation as to why a lot of people think he ruined a classic. I don't get it either, but it's probably an inside joke mocking him, while Dexter has become a CN icon.

Any of the snippets where they go into the cartoon network studio can pass as classic--Yogi Bear losing his ID, everyone calling in sick, Edd walking with Ug, and so forth.

The one circa 1995 with Shaggy and Droopy was a direct spoof of Pulp Fiction, especially the conversation they engage in.

Would be nice to see a clip of the CN UK snippets to see how and if the humour can translate here...
