The release date for TMNT (2003): Season 2, Part 2 really was October 21, even though it was still quite scarce that day. There were stores that had it though.

Picked up Journey to the Center of the Earth, but I didn't see the MST3K set. I guess it really did sell out before it even hit stores.

I picked up the Little Rascal set but I didn't see the MST3K set. Apparently Amazon has it so I just ordered it. I hope they come through for me.

That Tinker Bell movie is gonna be on Disney Channel in November, so no point in buying (or renting) the DVD.

I went to Best Buy yesterday and failed to find the MST3K set. However, after asking a sales associate, she checked the computer and found they were supposed to have 2 copies in stock. Apparently they hadn't been put out and were still in the stock room or something. Part of the top of the tin was dented, but I felt lucky just to have gotten it.
I wonder now if those were reserve copies for somebody else and she didn't know that? I'm trying not to feel guilty about it. Surely the system would have told her that when she was checking the availability.

And last I checked, Best Buy employees weren't allowed to "hold" an unpurchased item for a customer. Though I could be wrong. You're lucky they had any at all. Every time I'm looking for something at Best Buy and their computer tells them they still have, like, 3 or 4 copies left in the store or something like that, it means they have no copies left and those 3 or 4 are simply unaccounted for.
On a personal note, I can't stand dents on my DVD boxes. If it was me, I'd probably still be waiting for them to get new copies.

I picked up a 52" LCD TV last night, as well as a PS3. So far I've picked up three Blu-Ray discs: Cars, Ratatouille and Nightmare Before Christmas.
I've got to leave for work in 15 minutes. Stinks. I want to stay home and watch TV. :p

I got mine yesterday. And your right, it's a royal pain getting the DVDs out of that tin. Otherwise I love the packaging. Leagues ahead of the Rhino stuff.

I can't fathom purchasing a new DVD blind. Do a lot of people do this?I'd say the overwhelming majority of what I pick up (well, minus things I'm sent to review) are blind buys. With very few exceptions, I don't see movies theatrically.

I've done it a few times, but I'm just fortunate enough to have enjoyed the movies I bought that I've never seen before. I'll be doing the same with The Dark Knight even though I haven't seen it before.

If I can justify the price, I do. Recently I also picked up Journey without having seen it, and the week before I got Trailer Park of Terror, and luckily enjoyed it. I also picked up all three seasons of Supernatural a few months back without ever having seen the show.
With movie ticket's as high as they are, it's almost better just to go out and do blind buys. At least then you get to *keep* the movie afterward.

Family Guy Vol 6 from Target
apparently has an exclusive Stewie cover and a poster and script from the 100th ep. The standard cover looks sweet but ya gotta go for the exclusives when possible.
I have the MST3K 20 tin set en route from deepdiscount

I'm more interested in seeing what goodies all these stores will be offering for the release of the movie.
I didn't see Batman Begins in the theater either, but I did buy it on the first day it came out. Needless to say, I didn't think it was so bad at all.
