Have you guy's ever thought about starting a forum that allows for more adult content? Such as minor profanity, dirty jokes, and adult topics. I'm not talking about porn exchange or raunchy behavior. I'm talking TV 14. You could restrict people that enter to be at least 18 or password protect the forum. What do you think?

an "18 and over" forum really isn't possible. A good many of the people who register don't enter birthdate's in their profiles, thus making knowing their age next to impossible... and furthermore, what's to stop a person from lying about their age? It's the Internet... that is very inevitable.

So, we've got the 13 year old, pretending to be an 18 year old, reading a forum intended for 18 and up, and Mom walks in and guess who's in trouble... certainly not the child (well, maybe the child somewhat), but the webmasters will certainly get a nicely worded letter quite possibly containing a few choice expletives from the parent...

That's why it's password protected and membership is gained after someone ok's it. People do lie about their ages, but if they submit and say they are 18, then there's nothing a parent can do. It was their child that lied.

[edit] I really don't think a younger child should spend much time on the net without supervision. It's all about parenting. Not blameing someone else for their mistakes. Besides I'm sure people look at far worse on the net than swear words... I can understand Toonzone's side about the ages of people who come here, but there are plenty of older posters here and sometimes they might want to let their hair down so to speak. It can work, it's worked other places. It just up to the powers that be.

There are enough message boards in this world I am sure you can find one to post subjects like that in. Toon Zone should never have a board like that.

[edit] If you know a board Slipknot would be interested in, PM him please. This is an all ages board, and we like to keep all things, even the links, to an all ages level.

Are you trying to get rid of me? :( I'm over the use of swear words today.

I am not exactly why you read our replies that way, Slipknot. We aren't trying to get rid of you for your idea. I just posted what I did to keep inappropriate links being put up, is all.
