The Foster movie is premiering next month (should see promos any day now), and the Eds movie should come up next year.

Wow, and I was anticipating episodes this year. :sad: But a movie is still as good, heck, even better! It means that reruns are most likely going to start up again. But I'm kinda upset that they haven't started advertising it yet. Hopefully it won't be an Underfist type of deal, though it most likely will.

The Eds movie is expected for Q1 2009, and I think the Foster's one is suppossed to be too, if not Q2

Yup, the Foster's movie is due to air in November, Craig himself said so at SDCC last July. :D And although there's no confirmation of it yet, we expect it to air Thanksgiving weekend, if not Thanksgiving Day as CN has aired a Foster's marathon to promote the float that has appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade the last two years. If such a marathon is aired again, the movie will likely be the grand finale just like Foster's last movie Good Wilt Hunting was. I, too, hope that reruns will begin airing again around the time of the movie, if not a few weeks beforehand to help promote it. I've been keeping my eyes on the CN web sight for any advertising concerning it. Nothing so far. Maybe around the first of November ads will start popping up. ;)

Ugh, I haven't seen EEnE in so long. I hate this dry spell CN's been putting us through. I'm happy to see Billy and Mandy, and Lazlo creeping back into the schedule though. Hopefully Foster's and EEnE will be next to be fitted in there somewhere, especially to promote their movies.

I think they're waiting to finish with Halloween promotions before they start promotions for the Foster Movie In November. Yeah I'm pretty sure they're going to do it Thanksiving since Good Wilt Hunting did good when it premiered there two years ago. Don't know why Foster's is such a Thanksgiving Holiday for CN but it's speicals seem to fit best there.

Hmmm if Ed Edd n Eddy's movie does air January 2009, I really do hope that they promote the fact that it's also the Ed's 10th anniversary along with the movie. That's right: Ed Edd n Eddy first aired January 4th, 1999 so Janunary 4th, 2009 would be it's 10 year anniversary which is quite an accomplishment for The Eds (even if they only have about 65 regular eps, 3 to 4 specials and a movie to show for it along woth promos and music videos and other little short segments over the years) so it should be promoted espically with the movie airing then. I mean if CN is going to acknowledge the series finale of EEE they should at least acknowledge it's 10 year anniversary right?

Yeah seriously. We're not here to talk about who was mean to who or who was jerkish to who really. We're here to talk about news on the Eds or Foster's specials. (This goes to Slipperman, Darklordavaitor, and espically VCXZX, who no offense or anything but only seems to venture out of The Entertainment Board threads to talk about other people acting up. I'd really like to hear your thoughts more on the upcoming Eds or Foster's movies then on what someone says on another board truthfully). I still think we can get back on topic about talking about the actual stuff though and hope everyone can be mature enough not to bring this kind of stuff up again. I'll try that by answering this comment back from DaftPunkFan37 who also tried getting things back on topic.

Well it would be nice of them to have a marathon. I mean they did it when they premiered "A Fistful Of Ed" and then when they had "May I Have This Ed"/"Look Before Your Ed" to celebrate the last season 5 episode and the only season 6 episode made so they should have one for the movie, the last EEE ANYTHING made. I could see them delaying it though but if it's suppose to air in January then let it air in memory of the show's anniversary and on a note all Cul-De-Sac fans can enjoy even if it's the last taste of Ed regular CN will give.

Anyway I'm not a frequent CN viewer nowadays, due to a laundrylist of reasons I dont want to get to at the moment, which is why my presence in this CN forum has been minimal for a while. It is quite sad that these two longtime franchises are going the way of the dodo, in exchange for other programming that probably wont equal these two franchises quality-wise.

They could go a route of Foster's this Thanksgiving, esp. due to Ha Ha Thursdays. Have a block of episodes or a block of Foster's movies leading up to the big premiere. They probably won't go that route but it would be nice if they have a tradition of sorts with Foster's.

As for EEE, yeah they should celebrate the 10th year anniversary of another show that helped this network rise up in a way. Plus January 4th is a Sunday so that's a prime day for a 10th anniversary marathon leading to the movie (not like dumping PPG on a weekday but that's another topic for another day). If they're planning on having the movie air that is. Lord knows what goes inside the CN powers that bes' mind nowadays.

With moves like this (Foster's on Thanksgiving/EEE marathon + movie), that could help longtime viewers of CN who've been disallusioned with what CN has done, rediscover CN and hopefully get the network back to high ground.

The problem is that CN does not care about older viewers, as once you are essentially past the age of 14, they don't care about you because you are not in their demographic for adevertising

I bet there'll be a Foster's marathon for the final episode ala KND, since I think it still airs regularly, unlike the Eds
