Okay, I'll pick one just so this doesn't up as a one word reply.. my favouite anime is Battle Of The Planets and that was around 1978 I believe, just after Star Wars...

My favourite sci fi has to be Doctor Who and Blake's 7 which began 1963 and 1977 respectively.

My current favorite show, The West Wing, began in September 1999. The show before that, First Wave, premiered in March 1999.

1999 was a good year. :D

I think that is when the TV show started. But before the TV show there was a radio show. I think that started (and ended) in 1988. (it's my fav show too, btw.) :)
