What Should Go Here?

Doesn't it feel weird without something at the top of this board that never moves (i.e. the old funny quote, question, etc.) I think we need to get something up there. Like a "Random Question of the Week" or "Random Funny Quote" where we take say a pic from the newswire or just a random pic of say a duck and two chickens or something that you could make up a quote for.

Well, once we decide to do another avatar contest, that will be up there. Personally, I am all for having the "Geek Topic" restored and made a regular feature here, but I am not going to post anything until the other mods chime in. So how about it, folks! What would you like to see?

It was someting IR Joey came up with a while back. I think we only had one, and it wasn't "stuck" or anything official. The question was about what cartoon character you'd like to date, I believe. There was one posted by another member later on, but it didn't last long...only 4 replies.

Give us some time. I think things have been kinda hectic lately due to the board split and other behind the scenes things going on. But I do think it's time to start thinking about another avatar contest, definately.

Yeah, I plan to launch an avatar contest tomorrow. That will be stuck at the top.

I think a "Geek Topic" would be a good idea, but it will be week or so at least before that launches. There are some major changes in the works here, which has kept us kind of distracted.

In the meantime, feel free to toss out possible replacements for the Caption Contests and Fresh Questions.

And to make the top of the board look not quite so bald in the meantime, I've stuck this thread and renamed it.

Yes it certainly given it a thin head of hair. It did look like it was missing something.

Geek Topic is a good idea as long as it stays on topic at this board. Hopefully we can get some "AnyGen" exclusive features and things up here, to distinguish it abit. But stay tuned as we get finally ironed out and straightened up.

Some are historical, others are just plain funny, and still others make you stop and think. I would love to share some with you, I think you'd all get a kick out of them, I certainly do!

Barb^-^ I would write humorous replies to those quotes every time we got a new school agenda and my friends would get a real kick out of reading em. One day I'll have to publish a compilation.

Actually, I always took as a good sign that whenever nothing was at the top, all was at peace...at least until I read the truth in Maxie's post. ^^;;

...but the Geek Topic would be an excellent ressurection, at the very least. That was a fun topic.

Funny quotes are all right and should certainly be a topic, but we've already a "caption this," usually as the sticky...so I think it doesn't need to be a sticky. Sorry, guys. ^^;;
