"Persepolis"? That's a comic not a book, which reminds me, someone should do a "Greatest Comic" tournament. If we're allowed to nominate comics, than I have a few that I feel are worthy to stand shoulders to shoulders with the best novels nominated here, so far.

You may notice that I haven't used the term graphic novel. That's because, it has always felt like an excuse to me: "Comics? You philistine! I'm reading graphic novels!" And as a fan of the medium, I can't help but be a bit annoyed, but that's just me.

Frankenstein

*laughs* I suppose the Bible wouldn't be in good taste to nominate, huh?

Comics do not count. I figured someone would make a "Greatest Comic Thread" eventually.

Just to spite you: I added two Captain Underpants books up there :p. 12 books to go. Choose wisley.

I just noticed that you put "Peter Pan" on the list twice, as for the "Fântomas" books, one of them should have "in America" written in the title.
