What classic cartoon studio do you think is the worst?
What modern cartoon studio do you think is the worst?
My choices:
Classic? I would have to choose one I haven't seen many cartoons from, such as Terrytoons or Lantz.
Modern? All of them! :D

Worst classic? Disney. Definately. I hate pretty much every drop of their animation output.
Worst modern? Can I chose Disney again? ;)

Classic - Walt Disney
Modern - Columbia/Tristar Entertainment
Why? because of the way Terry treated his employees. Cut them out of everything, when he sold out his entire catalogue to a TV network. left everyone high and dry...nothing...Mighty Mouse wasn't that great anyway...

When I read about how Paul Terry sold his employees down the creek wothout a paddle, I was shocked. Looking back at how generic some of his cartoons were, Paul Terry made Bill Hanna. and Joe Barbera look like Walt Disney, and Chuck Jones. Ralph Bakshi was one of the only few talents that emearged from that studio. As for Mighty Mouse, the best incarnation of the character was in the late 1980's. Ralph Bakshi, and John K. gave him such a great personality. Plus, the cartoons were funny. Blowing past incarnations out of the water. Filmation's version would come in second because as cheaply produced as they were, at least none of the characters spoke in song like in Paul Terry's old cartoons. Good lord, those were worse than your average Disney film in my opinion.

The worst animation studios, for my money, were Filmation and Kennedy. Filmation's trademark seemed to be weirdly off-model and flat characters in strange poses (cf."Quackula"). Kennedy's characters--cf. particular Tiny Toon Adventures eps or A Pup Named Scooby Doo--was known for mushroomlike heads and what I call the "boneless chicken-arm walk".

I think as far as utter lack of animation quality is concerned, Belch pretty much nailed it.

The worst classic animation studios are Filmation and Terrytown.
The worst now is Klasky-Csupo. I really hate the Ronald McDonald videos they are producing now. Utter crap...

If your talking about Kennedy Cartoons, The same animation house that worked on Tiny Toons for Warner Bros., Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Bonkers, and Aladdin for Disney, and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo for Hanna-Barbera, than I agree with you. Their animation style is too rubbery for my taste. Sure it's nice to have some rubber like animation, but give the characters some bones, and weight. You gotta balance it out so that they come to life accurately. Kennedy Cartoons is proof that sometimes high quality animation can look bad.

Worst is very strong language, Disney created what we know as animaition...yea, the more recent studios, and Japanese animation have changed it, of course, but to say" pretty much every drop of their animation output, is "Worst" You do know that Disney invented sterio sound for Fantasia, Sure that was a full length film....but the worst? I disagree, respectfully. They were innovative for a while, and created some good shorts. No offense meant, just disagreement. Stuart

I don't know, but I can't say there's a classic studio I really hate. You can't just say you hate a studio, like Terrytoons, because of what the boss there did. I love Mighty Mouse and Heckle & Jeckle, and they had some great Jim Tyer animation too. Sure you can say you hate Paul Terry, but you can't say you hate his cartoons, just because you hate him.
But definitley Disney or Klasky-Csuepo (whatever the heck it's called) for modern cartoons.
