I bought the Deadman 4 part mini or was it 6? I forget now. Is the new book any good?

Legends has had some really crappy stories as of late. Just one more issue and this Grimm crap is over. I'm not sure what's next. Hopefully a Scarecrow story. The one last year was really good. I think that was actually the last Legends story arc that was any good.

I quit buying Superman, I've been restricted in buying figures and comic books so I stuck with the Bat titles

The new Deadman series is better than the 4 part mini was. The mini was ok, but the new series is a whole lot better. Some say that it is starting out slowly, but I differ.

That's why I didn't buy it. I heard around the shop bad things about it. I might have to take a look. I'm sure he has all the back issues to it.
Thanks for the Legends preview. That could be good... We'll have to wait and see.

Well, Whoever told you Rising Star's was jsut a nice book visually is a liar and need's to learn to read. Go out, and buy the first TPB(And if they ever release it the second.) You wont regret it. Thing's Fall apart was VERY good. And all the stuff now with the Special's trying to make the world a better place by destroying all the World's Drug Crop's, getting rid of all Nuclear Weapon's, making the land's of the middle east Fertile. All of it is good story telling.
I currently read:
Rising Star's
The Darkness(When i can find it.)
Dare Devil One of the best around now, read it or D13 .
Punisher
Uncanny X-Men(Subscribed) and it's starting to get really good now.
X-Treme X-Men(Subscribed still waiting on my first issue that way though.) I also have to find issue 4 somewhere since Mile High doesn't have it and it's the onyl back issue I'm missing.
New X-men good writing, and plot, but the art need's ALOTTA help.
Cable One of the best around.
Amazing Spider-Man even though Romita Jr.'s craptastic Art comes fairly close to ruining the great writing.
Spider-Man's Tangled Web sometimes good, sometimes lack-luster.
Spider-Man
Fantastic Four
Wolverine I've liked this alway's(Aside form that Liefield run a short time ago. God, I'm still in shock over Dead Pool being written badly...I didn't think it was possible but he did it.)
Wolverine Origin Great story, I juest wonder if James will ever leanr the truth, and if that Cook is Creed.
Dead Pool(Subscribed) Consistently great. one of the best series of all time in my opinion.
Sojourn
Avengers
Captain Marvel
Ultimate X-Men(Subscribed)
Ultimate Spider-Man(Subscribed)
The Mighty Thor (Subscribed)
Iron Man
Green Lantern(When i can find it)
Some Supes book's
Some Batman books
Elektra and Wolverine: The Redeemer
Green Arrow
Justice League of America
Justice Society of America(When i can FInd it)
Flash
Night Wing(When I can find it)
Super Boy
I also buy all the Essential's I can find, so I read alot, and I'm also buying up a bunch of early issues of X-Men when I get my next Pay Check.

In May I think, there will be a special cover, with Batman and Catwoman on it. I like how it looks and I never had any of those issues yet, so I want to start with that one. Take a look at it at the TZ comics section and click on comics Soltitions ( me no spell goo)in May.

The title has went down the toilet, but I've been collecting the book since number 1. It's hard to break being a completist.

IMO, those three are a few of my faves. THE FLASH is the most consistantly great book, and the team stays on for every issue (really rare these days). YJ and SUPERBOY are a little less recognized, but once people pick them up they almost always love 'em. Can't recommend those three enough (along with most of the other comics I buy).

I haven't liked the Flash since I was a kid. It's not that I hate the Flash, I just don't follow him anymore. Superboy and Young Justice dissapoint me whenever I've got them in cross-overs.

03-04-2002, 07:47 PM
With FLASH...if you haven't checked out the Johns/Kolins run yet, I highly recommend it. People who thought they'd never read THE FLASH are buying it regularly ever since these guys came on.
SB got a new creative team. I do agree that the old one wasn't very good. But now with Jimmy Palmiotti and Dan Didio on writing, the book's really turned around.
And YJ never worked well with crossovers unless you follow the entire series. Really, it's one of the harder ones to jump into, but it is possible.
