Frequently on XM Radio, the '80s and '90s stations play clips from movies of the decade between songs and during station promos. Two of them I've been trying to identify, but can't place.
The first one, heard on the '80s channel, goes (something) like this:
GUY 1: "It looks like a storm."
GUY 2: "This is weird. I'm picking up frequency patterns."
GUY 1 (or GUY 3): "Bring it up on the monitor."
Guy #2 has a similar voice to Harold Ramis, but I'm pretty sure it's not him after looking up his '80s movies.
The second one, heard on the '90s channel, is John Ratzenberger saying "...but this. This is a quality sound system. Betcha all-copper wiring, hu?" I tried searching for that line using his name and didn't find anything, but it's very distinctly him for sure.
Anybody have any idea what movies these two clips are from?

I'm not sure what the first one is, but the second one is from the first Toy Story. It's the Piggy Bank (John Ratzenberger) talking about Buzz Lightyear's sound system.
Hang your head in shame for not knowing Toy Story! ;)

ARGH!!! I had a feeling somebody would say it was Toy Story, and I knew I'd feel like crap for it. Haha!! I even looked up Toy Story but didn't see it in a list of quotes. Yes, I'm ashamed I haven't even watched my DVD in awhile, which is shocking considering it's my favorite Pixar movie.
Well, thanks for that one. Feel free to shoot me now. :D
But hopefully somebody can ID the first one beforehand. :)

Plugging lines into Google points to Burton's "Planet of the Apes".

Which movie is why there are two people fighting, then a sort of automatic door starts coming down, and the guy on the bottom grabs a wastebasket to stop it? That's been bugging me :p.

That's strange, considering the clip plays on the '80s station. I believe their clips are always decade-specific on these stations.
I didn't see anything through Google, though I was surprised to see that my original post was the top result when I did a search. :D
