I love cooking. Do you? Are are you the fast-food type? If you like cooking, what do you cook? Why do you cook? If you are the fast-food type, where do you eat?

The Crock Pot is my best friend. Only one dish to clean, it doesn't heat up the apartment as much as running the stove or oven, and if I'm having company over, I can actually interact with them instead of having to ignore them in favor of the cooking. My specialties are lasagna and pot roast.

I thought I liked cooking. Well, I guess I do, when I have all the ingredients available and am well into the cooking process.

I get fast food when I have nothing prepared, but I eventually will cook again after so much fast food because Wendy's and soda starts to hurt after a while.

I love to cook but I don't always have time. When I do though, I loves me some stir fry. I love my wok. XD Uh, I cook a lot of Asian and French type stuff; Korean beef, French style roasts (everything in the pot, carrots saute'd with onions and all that, lotsa wine). Last night I made pork ribs with a general purpouse stir fry sauce (from scratch, of course), steamed rice and stir fried zucchini and summer squash. It was quite yummy.

I also make wok!tortilla's. It breaks my sister's brain 'cause I use chopsticks to flip 'em. Best damn tortilla's ever though - all of the flavoring from the wok seeps in and they're VERY happy. They're not big enough to use as anything more than a munchie though, but that's cool 'cause we usualy eat them all before I get a chance to make anything else. XD

When I don't have time I usualy grab what's handy... Safeway has some frozen portabello mushroom ravioli that are REALLY good. Uh, Taco Bell is a favorite, as is Subway and Bellagio's Pizza. When I'm at school I either snag something from the bento cart (mmmm... chicken teriyakiiiii) or wander over to mah favorite cafe for a tuna sammich or a cup of soup. Also that burrito cart over on 12th is REALLY good. XD I usualy hit Carls Jr. if I need a burger fix.

I like to cook, but I rarely do it as much as I want. Most of my recipes come from the Weight Watchers 15-Minute Cookbook.

Oh, and when I'm off from work, I like to make french toast or breakfast sandwiches in the morning.

Well, I just recently started college and am attending one that doesn't have any type of meal plan or cafeteria and were instead provided with a small kitchen. So far the only thing i've really made are pancakes and eggs and everything was essentially microwavable pre-made food. but I finally got to grocery shopping and will start to cook some real food which I'm looking forward to because I do like to cook. I haven't gone out really since starting college since its cheaper to make your own food but I was an avid fan of fast food in the past. I love McDonalds, showmars, chik fil a, and several sit down eateries. The convenience of just having to show up and eat was quite enjoyable. but that's a life in the past right now:p. Although I've decided I'll probably cook a hot breakfast for myself every weekend and probably stick to cereal and bagels during the school days.

I cook all the time, but I try to eat healthy and this usually causes me to cook the same things over and over again. I really like to make lasagna and shepard's pie, but those things really aren't too healthy so I don't cook them very often.

You can make a reasonably healthy lasagna if you make it vegetarian-style with low-fat cheeses and don't go crazy with the portion sizes. There are reasonably healthy shepherd's pie recipes, too-- use chicken strips or ground turkey instead of beef and don't put too much butter or cheese in the mashed potatoes.

I cook almost every night. I have a large cook book collection counted at 44 separate books last time I checked. I've cooked Thanksgiving dinner completely for about 6 years now, as well as Christmas for the pasted 4. Plus at this point its one of two reasons why I haven't been kicked out of my parent's house.

I'm currently working towards a dual bachelor's in culinary arts and some sort of writing.

I just cook once every 2-3 days, and just have that for dinner for that length of time. I try not to let it sit in the refrigerator any longer than that.

Cooking for just me is wonderful.

My new thing is keeping packaged salad, bacos (the refrigerated stuff, not the dry stuff), and croutons on hand, but I can never keep the salad lasting past two days. Aggravating.

Back when I still was living at home, I would cook hamburgers. And I would make the best homemade Bacon Cheese Burgers ever!

I was also good at making pancakes. Yum, pancakes, I can eat a whole batch if I'm really hungry.

Well, a vegetarian lasagna would likely lack protein wouldn't it? Also, I can't seem to find any whole wheat lasagna sheets around here. White pasta is generally just empty calories. As for Shepard's pie, ground turkey actually isn't any healthier than lean ground beef. Never heard of making it with chicken strips. Also, corn and potatoes tend to have a lot of empty calories as well.

Veggie lasagna will have protein if you use tofu (it'll absorb whatever flavor the sauce is) or beans. Corn and potatoes are actually very healthy, it's just that we love to slap 6 tons of butter on it while eating it.;)

As for me, I love cooking. I cook mostly Mediterranean stir fry, pastas, and anything else under 30 min. or less. I don't like baking sweets though.

Well, there's still the cheese.

Rachel Ray? Sorry but she's very clear about the fact she's not a chef.

I really.... REALLY suck at cooking. The only thing that I can prepare that's edible is either canned stuff, or cupped stuff.

I am trying to learn from my grandparents, though.

Yes. Alton Brown. Alton Brown can only speak the truth. @_@
(but is still pwned by his grandma when it comes to biscuits and things XD)

Also, Emeril ftw! BAM!

I've always wanted to learn how to cook (I love watching shows on Food Network), but I've never learned how. I could learn some stuff from my mother, but she cooks plain meals that aren't really what I'm interested in preparing.

I'm a very lazy cook who thinks fancy things aren't worth the effort (it's just me most of the time, so...). If it's not a sandwich or something you can just stick in the microwave for two minutes, I don't bother

Sometimes I enjoy cooking, sometimes not; it's all dependent on my mood. If I find a recipe that looks good (and healthy), then I'm usually into it. However, I live in the dorms so don't often get a chance to cook anyway. When I'm at home, I'll cook every now and then but not often. Once I get my own place, I think I'll cook a lot more. My older brother has really gotten into cooking in the past few years, so I'll have to get some pointers from him, haha.

I like to cook but my skills are pretty much limited. I'm good at doing stir-fry. Most of the times, I'll be just heating a frozen pizza or cooking instant noodles...

I love Rachael Ray but don't cook much. I cook enough to survive, but lately I found these "steam fresh" veggie/rice bags that you can "cook" in the microwave in 4 1/2 minutes at only 400 calories. Combine with some fruit or occasional turkey bacon and my cooking days are now mostly behind me.

Also my girlfriend LOVES to cook, LOVES to cook for ME and is REALLY good at it. So she gets to do what she loves, gets to enjoy making me happy, I assist her in kitchen (chop stuff, wash stuff, bring her stuff) and buy ingredients and I get tasty meals.

Honestly? My life is near perfect.

Been giving my oven and stove a bit of a workout since my old Sharp micro/convection oven of 15 years is dying (just broke the cardboard waveguide to it while cleaning the insides of it, plus it shuts off when I try to preheat it.) I like to make chili, beef stew, and homemade soup (Cream of Broccoli, Pumpkin, Lima Bean & Kielbasa).

EDIT: Oops! Forgot about the occasional Western style Spaghetti-Os. (Spaghetti-O's, black beans, scallions, chili powder, and cheddar cheese shreds.)

Mr. Foreman Grill and Mr. Crock Pot are also my best friends.

I consider myself a pretty good cook, but I only concentrate on small and simple meals. I've never needed to cook for more than two people so I stick to basics. I've been meaning to explore some more fancy dishes, but I can't justify spending the extra money and time.
