I've been poking around on the net for toons on DVD (need to expand my already huge collection some more), and I ran across a couple oddities. Some of the older Nicktoons, like Doug, Rocko's Modern Life, and Hey Arnold, are being released exclusively through Amazon with a service called (according to the almighty Wikipedia) CreateSpace.
From what I understand, Amazon creates the DVD sets on demand. So basically, we order it, they make it and send it out, do I have it right?
I don't know, I find it odd that Nick's not releasing these classic series as dedicated sets in stores, and just as on-demand creations by Amazon. That just makes it feel so... so unnoficial. Like a bootleg.
