Funny I was expecting the game to be similar to the first 2 games. It does looks interesting.

I don't know that people will be willing to go back to topdown GTA at this point. This game has the potential to confuse and frighten the average consumer who will be expecting something familiar.

But there isn't other way of adapting GTA to the DS, and therefore I genuinely believe that Rockstar deserves an applause for bringing this fine series to the DS

I surely hope this game is a wildfire hit and convinces more companies to bring more mature-themed games to the DS, since all I've seen lately for the DS is more and more family games

Nintendo systems don't usually get M rated games. The developers would rather it be on a sony system, or microsoft system.

Not just DS, but for the last decade Nintendo in general has been seen that way.

Being someone that recently purchased and attempted to play the PS1 GTA games, I'll pass on this. I couldn't control those for crap, and this one looks no different.

Me too. People say they are classics and I like the gameplay ideas in them, but I found it way too hard to drive.

So that means moving with the stylus, then. Ugh. The only game that's ever done that right was Phantom Hourglass. In other games, it's more of a hindrance than anything else.

I found it impossible to do anything. Driving, shooting, walking, running, hell, I couldn't even figure out where I was located half the time.

GTA2 did manage to fix some of the first game controls. I thought it was pretty good.
Some more info (http://www.nintendoeverything.com/?p=3932) including the main character name, Huang Lee, and his mission in the game.

GTA Advance was a huge improvement on the old style gameplay since you could finally drive, walk around and engange in gunfights easily (and I know since I finished the game) and if the upcoming GTA DS can improve those controls I'm sooo getting this game
