What special occasion (or regular day!) that happens once a year is your favorite? Why?

It must be only one day long.

Mine would have to be my birthday. I love presents!

Probably my birthday, it's just so much fun! But Halloween would be a close second, because I love going to school in costume.

Hmm... I'd go with Christmas. Or maybe the unexpectated snow day that gets everyone out of their houses.

April Fools Day is the only holiday I really look forward to. It's always so much fun!

I would say Christmas Eve. We don't open presents on Christmas Eve or anything, but for as long as I can remember my family has had a fun tradition. Every Christmas Eve all of my relatives (on my mom's side of the family) go over to my grandma's house and we put on a talent show for her. There's usually around 60 of us there. It's really fun, we come up with really stupid, and yet so entertaining, stuff to do.

I'm gonna say Thanksgiving. I don't have to buy any presents, I don't have to do anything other than go to a relative's house and stuff my face, and then fall asleep.

You might say to me, "Joe, you can't fall asleep after every Thanksgiving meal, can you?"

But I've done it after every T-Day meal for the last 3 or 4 years. This past year, I was particularly exhausted from schoolwork, having pulled many late nights in the previous week. But then I got to eat Turkey and fall asleep on the floor and felt all better. :)

My b-day! Not just the presents....I love to see what kind of cake I get :D I'm just worried about later this year.....my b-day is on a Friday, and it's on the same night as a football game, and the whole band sings "Happy Birthday" to the person who's b-day it is.......man, that's gonna be embarassing :o

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Thursday come a minimum of 52 times a year? That belongs more in a "Favorite Day of the Week" topic.

For me, my fave day is probably the last day of school until summer. At that point, the year is finally over, you've an endless summer coming up, you have no real worries for three months...

...and you can finally take that well-deserved nap! :D

Otherwise, it'd be my b-day, since I get virtual X-Mas presents before everyone else...^^;;

I don't like all of the food served at Thanksgiving. Being with more people than usual is a "headache". And I get more stress from relatives. It is not one of my favorites.

I only get part of the summer off, so the last day of school is no big deal for me. :(

I'd have to say Hallowe'en because I like the atmosphere. It's just so cool. All the ghost stories and general creepiness. Gotta love it.
