What do you think is the best movie you have ever seen?

You can choose one that is animated or live action. Or any movie.

I have seen a bunch of movies, not a lot. I thought after all of them that they were good, but could be better. So, I can't decide.

Favorite anime movie: The End of Evangelion. That movie is completely mind-blowing, and I mean that in a good way. :D EoE is like a dream, or a nightmare. It truly changed my outlook on life. That's how great it is. Oh, and the ending is superb ;)

Favorite live action movie: Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me. It's beautiful, violent, grotesque, and utterly incomprehensible. I have no idea what's happening when I watch it, but I love every minute of it. It also has my favorite actor, Kyle Machlaclan, in one of his more off-beat roles.

So many movies, so many good ones, and so many I have yet to see. Here are my personal favorites. :)

Casablanca
Singin' In the Rain
Indiana Jones Trilogy (especially The Last Crusade)
Willow
The Little Mermaid
Sleeping Beauty
Toy Story 1&2
An American Tail

The BEST movie I've seen?? I would need some time to think about it, but just off the top of my head I would say either Casablanca, Gone With the Wind, or Singin' In the Rain. Those three I recall wowing me when I first saw them, especially Singin' In the Rain. The most recent movie to wow me is Dogma I believe, but I wouldn't consider it the best because it doesn't have the scope of many other movies.

I can say though, the BEST scene I have ever seen from any movie is the title dance number from Singin' In the Rain. It's just awesome, so simple, so carefree and happy. :)

Ahhhhhhhhhh, there are so many good movies out there, how am I possibly going to choose my absolute favorite? Okay, I've decided. My favorite movie of all time is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. That is an UNBELIEVABLY GOOD adaptation of one of favorite books ever. My other fave movies are Jurassic Park, The Mummy (The 1999 version), The Terminator, and Terminator 2: Judgment Day.

See ya!

I have to agree with that. Actually, I might say Godfather part II is the best movie I've seen and the first Godfather is my favorite movie ever. It's a tough call between the two.

Other great movies:
Empire Strikes Back
Mask of Zorro
Braveheart
Terminator 2
Fellowship of the Ring

Here are mine, it's just too hard to choose one!:

Princess Bride (the book is really depressing, though)
LOTR (can't wait for the next one)
Memento (yeah, talk about messing with you're head)
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (woooo!)
You Got Mail (....like the only sappy movie I like)
Lethal Weapon (Mel Gibson is a god)
Mask of Zorro ('nuff said)
Princess Mononoke (sad, beautiful, incredible story)
Indiana Jones (especially the Quest for the Grail)
Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz (I'm a sucker for Duo)

fav Disney movies are like a whole other category for me, but my number one fav in that list would be Beauty and the Beast, no question.
