I was very bored today, so I'd thought I take a trip back in time and look at the old TTTP archives. Boy, it sure brought back memories. Thad K was known as "LooneyThad," I had a case of "favoritius," Patrick McCart was know as "Calvin Crowe" and had just opened his brand new "Colorized Cartoons" page for the first time, Matthew and a few other posters commented on the "Bugs and Daffy Show." PorkyandDaffy was known as "Stooge," Steve Siegert and Tim Ingles were still on the board, I kept on asking for "Bosko in Person" (which my wish was later granted by Brian Cruz), Jon asked everyone to help him complete his cartoon collection, Foley Is Good was known as "Gotlucky64," and me and Thad made fun of Pokemon.

Any other memories of the old board?

I remember Vandemarcus posting obscene messages, and always having to worry about archiving before the board got too big and stopped working. That's why we switched to this one.

Hmmmm.... what do I miss about the old board. I kinda miss my cousin Matt who did post at the old board under the name "MelBlanc", but his mom just HAD to get rid of their computer. Actually Matt did get a new computer a few months ago and he has internet acces again, I don't get why he hasn't tried to register to this board yet.

Afew other things I miss....

- Me originally starting out with the doofy name "WBKid", and noticing another member with the name "WBK", and then I got completely scared of him sending me a virus 'cause I used a name similar to his. I was a scardy-cat back then.
- Sveven Dvorking sending e-mails to stop putting those weird quotes between my first and last name, because it was distracting and nothing to do with Looney Tunes.
- Me posting what episodes of The Angry Beavers aired on the original forum for The Warner Bros. Club. I'd still do that.... if TAB were on.
- Archieve # 30 being the only archieve that I'd visit, because there was a file there that had the directer's cut ending to Hare Ribbin.

I can't think of anything else that I miss. Oh, yeah! I miss the scrolling marquee.

I remember discussing post and pre 1948 cartoons early on at the old board. Very little of that happens now, and I've changed all of my opinions of pre and post 1948 cartoons since then too... I think I said a lot of stupid things that I would never say today.

I also remember a "greatest cartoon" poll. I can't recall who did it at the moment (I'll have to look for it), but they asked what everyone's favorite one shot was, favorite Bugs cartoon, etc.

And there was the time CN ran its first every "special" Acme Hour, and how the board got completely flooded with posts.

Also, the winner of that "Greatest WB Cartoon Poll" was "Wise Quackers". :D

...The thing I still miss about the old board (and wish to high heaven this one could do it)... Was this... The ability to have only the titles of the replies (and the member) visibly displayed!!! It vastly facilitated reading the more interesting posts since you didn't have to scan down the whole list of all the replies. And it was desirable because if you started diverging from the original topic then you could let your title reflect it...

Matthew and a few other posters commented on the "Bugs and Daffy Show."

Ah, yes. I forgot about that. It was really fun doing that, I wouldn't mind if we started that again, doing reviews on the cartoons that come on Bugs and Daffy or Acme Hour.

On a similar note, I really miss my message board at the late InsideTheWeb.com. Anyone remember that? That was an interesting period of my internet life. And whatever happened to that guy "Todd" who used to post there?

Yeah, I remember visiting Andrew's board once and awhile.

But, I still get a kick out of the time me and Thad tried to find ways to kill Pikachu, click here to see the original thread! (http://www.toonzone.net/cgi-bin/termite-terrace/wwwthread.cgi?action=show&board=termite.archive3&bnum=3&num=582)

Did you guys notice the evolution of the little Toonzone thing at the bottom of the page?:

Back then:

Interesting stuff, huh?

Anybody else have good memories of the old board that they'd like to share?

Where do you get the old archives from? All I see is a message saying 'This Board is closed'

You're halfway there.

On the preceding page. straightaway underneath the link to that message, is a pulldown menu, where you select from a little over a hundred pages full of messages [by number].

The more seasoned veterans likely remember on which page their favorite messages are stored.

I remember revieing the bugs and daffy shows too, particularly when CN got some new material that most of us hadn't seen before, due to ABC and Nick running so few cartoons by that time. I agree with Andrew...what did happen to Todd?
