Any word on the general plot for season 2?

Fight more aliens...?
I don't think that there's one specific plot, but the creators said that every episode would have some sort of connection to the overall plot.

The best answer to this is read the talkbacks for each episode. Each person typically expresses their opinions on the individual episodes in each talkback.

I basically liked season one of Alien Force. I think its better than the first series, or at least the characters Ben and Gwen don't annoy me nearly as much as they did when they were ten. I think that they had their good episodes, such as Paradox, What Little Girl's are Made of and possibly the finale episode Alien X. Some of the other episodes either didn't feel as strong to me or were weakened with bland characters of the day kind of deal. I definitely see some potential in the series, especially with some of the details they mentioned at Comic Con, but we'll just wait and see if that comes to pass.

Personally, I don't like Alien Force or the original, but they're popular so I can't complain. The original series has a good premise, but, like most american action shows, falls short when it comes to the "action" part of the "action show", though it is meant for kids, so the action must be toned down for that.
The idea of Alien Force is good, where Ben, Gwen, Kevin, and other plumber kids step up to become the next generation of "plumbers" when a new threat comes, but it fails to deliver IMO. I think that it should display a darker tone (and by darker tone, I don't mean all the episodes taking place at night) because they're older now, and that means that it should have more intense action sequences IMO. Plus most of the stories for the episodes are bland and unappealing. There's no build up for anything. Alien X didn't make use of any story arc that was being built up. The only episode I was close to liking was Paradox. Which is weird because you'd think this show would be awesome coming from members of the DCAU crew. If they step it up Season 2, I'll forget about the first season, because I really want to like this show, but terrible characters, terrible stories, and terrible writing makes me dislike it.

My opinion has been worded for me, thank you. :)
For the record, though, things can improve in a second season, because you have an idea of what works and what doesn't.

I second that, the first series was not that good yet it did had some episodes that worth to watch even if some where pointless plots like the Rustbucket getting stolen.
AF had a good concept yet the writers didn't go too far to exploid that concept and give some nice story arcs in the first season, i mean i hate the fact that Ben's somehow useless in the entire season, he tries to fight someone as an alien yet when he gets punched he's already down and turned into human again.
Also that they focuse more on Gwen and Kevin which they really haven't made any progress only looking at each other because the obvious love you and you love me thing between them is annoying.
The main plot was to find Grandpa Max and to find more plumber kids to help them against the Alien Invasion yet when Grandpa dies they kinda stop there and the other episodes (except for the Paradox) where too meh, Alien X didn't do squad and for a final episode of the season was too weak.
I do hope they improve season 2 by making all 3 characters work together and not to mention not getting beating up so easily, also a nice story arc that connects one episode to another and finally see the unexpected, that's another thing i complained, that the show doesn't surprise you or give you a nice plot twist into it, like you think you know what will happened yet they surprise you with something new.

Well i have only watched 2 episodes of Ben 10: Alien Force, But from what i have seen kevin looks to be the leading roll for the show.. Just he kinda steals the camera from Ben, Because down to his design, character in general to voice actor.. He is just 100 % awesome

why do they change from saturday to friday night.
Because they needed a third show for their Friday Night Action block (not counting Brave and the Bold).

Airing the show at night is better than having to wake up early to see.

1) What Veemonjosh said.
2) Alien Force is aimed at a slightly older audience than the original, and most of the older kids don't wake up Saturday mornings to watch cartoons anymore. Therefore, more kids will be awake to watch it if it's on Fridays (Basically what Dudley said.)
3) I'm guessing Alien Force was always intended for Friday nights, they just needed a place to put it until the other three shows came.

According to Dwayne McDuffie, season 2 will conclude the Highbreed / DNA Aliens arc. This season is going to be very important, everything they were building since the first episode will come to a conclusion in episode 26.

Accodring to him, they wrote the first 26 episodes as one whole season, and it was Cartoon Network to divide it into two 13 episode seasons.

pretty much summed it up for me. The original had some good episodes once in a while, but I wasn't a fan. Alien force gives me something to watch when I'm bored, but the plots are just uninteresting along with the cast. Oh, and I'm tired of the plumber's kids all being half alien... that and they don't do anything. I hope the next season is better though.

Have you heard any changes? I don't know if it's just Comcast, but their cable guide has a "To Be Announced" movie showing that Friday 8-10. I'm setting that time just in case, but I didn't know if anyone else had heard that the premiere was postponed or something.
I actually like Alien Force. I couldn't get into the original series, mostly because I wanted to smack Gwen ("Hey, my cousin's trying to save the world! Time to mock his hygiene and distract him!"). I can see where fans of the original series would have problems with it, though.

That sounds pretty awesome.
But I have to say I'm surprised that they're getting rid of the DNAliens by Season 3. Wasn't the Highbreed supposed to be this show's Vilgax?

I didn't like the villains in the first place, hopefully they'll think of a better subject for season 3.

Me too. I really do hope that they can come up with a better set of villains for Season Three.

Remember after season 2, Vilgax didn't return in present canon time (not counting Ben 10,000 and Goodbye And Good Riddance ) till the finale movie Secret Of The Omnitrix.
