Spiffy, Spiffy stuph....missed the end =[
It's the typical Superhero looses his powers, what does he do show....starting off with the powers going beserk...
It's nice to see that the Super-Hero thing is affecting his grades...Makes that character more believeable to me...Jugling School, Home life & Superheroing...Not an easy task!
Good job guys

I thought todays ep was cool. I really enjoyed it. I liked the one with Batman and Robin in it too. I guess that one came on last week, right? I kindda missed last weekends cartoons, so i wouldn't know. anyways i love Static period. :D

The big things I unliked about it were when Virgil still pretty much used his powers to beat Hotstreak despite the whole no-powers thing, and there weren't enough I-love-having-no-powers! scenes either. Still, however, I really liked the ep! There were some hilarious scenes in it. How he initially dealt with Hotstreak (watch what happens when I twitch my nose!), his overpowered scenes, and gotta love the line: "Its ancient history now... HISTORY!" which caught me by surprise as well! Oop, I completely forgot about her too! I also thought the overpowered scenes were a good addition too. They could have left it the cliched no-powers scenario, but they threw in some really nice over-power scenes too! A good mix!
Something I've realized with Static is that it is very versatile. It has the potential to go where Batman Beyond didn't - dealing with real teen angst, as well as having fun with the whole super-powers/coolest afterschool job deally

This was a good episode, which for some reason, reminded of a good episode of SPIDER-MAN. The mood was upbeat and everything flowed nicely. I was surprised at the strong script. But when I saw Berkowitz's name on the credits, it made sense then. :) I ma really enjoying this series. WHile it remains upbeat, it still has a serious undertone. LIke MIB, this series is getting much better in it's second season.

This was cool ep. I liked it very much. I gave it 4.5 because I thought it did much better than 'Big Leagues'. Big Leagues was good, but I liked this one much better because of the plot and story line. The over powered scenes were cool. I loved it when everything in his room stuck to him when he feel asleep. LOL :)
I liked how they showed his ambition to stop Hotstreak even without his powers. And even though it's an old and the most overly used plot (where the superhero looses his/her powers and tries to stop the bad guy) they presented this very well, and didn't end up making it seem rehearsed either. The art was amazing, and the special effects looked pretty good as well. They've really improved from last season; Not that the show was bad or anything before, but they've definitely improved.
Over all, it was an entertaining episode. It was nice to see Virgil enjoy some of his normal life; something we barely get to see much anymore. There were a lot of funny and memorable moments in the episode.
I hope the rest of the episodes this season are as successful as the ones we've seen so far. Awesome Job guys. :)

This morning was the first time I ever watched "Static Shock", and I must say, it's now a new favorite. Why I didn't discover this sooner instead of suffering through the showcase of mangled characterization that is "X-Men:Evolution" is beyond me. Both episodes were great, and I honestly can't wait to see more, especially if a new season's starting soon.

I thought this was an entertaining ep, I'd give it 3 stars. And the animation at parts was awesome, particulirly when Static is charging up the first time, seizure-riffic! (Although I thought the scene where they were running from Hotstreak was sort of weird looking. Static's as tall as a record store when he runs by it! I know it's supposed to be perspective, but it looked weird)
Are sunspots a rare thing or are they annual?

I was hoping for a Bang Baby-less script, but Hotstreak showed up in the last ten minutes. Still, he was used very little; this ep showed that Static is his own worst enemy, at least under certain conditions. Even nonmetal objects like furniture and paper were attracted to him. A pretty standard villain mop-up at the end, and I'm not even sure how a nutjob like him got paroled to begin with--therapy, my lily-white bum. Really felt sorry for Daisy, though. She's behaving like a jealous girlfriend, not realizing the only other women in Virgil's life tend to have feathers, spit acid, or freeze a man with one touch....
I wonder if Magneto has trouble with sunspots as well?

I have seened this one before and repeats on the 26th but still a personal favorite since it deals more on Static's powers than actually a villianous threat at the third act.
Some people may hate on Static's flying disc but in the second part where he hitches a ride on a jumbo jet and sky surfs on home is a very sweet scene.
And make a note, Hotstreak's first fire construct of a sword... Firefly and Volcano would be proud if Hotstreak's weakness to water was not such a bummer. :p

nice seeing this ep again. I really liked Daisy in this ep. I'd like to see V and Daisy get to go on a real date. Sharon was cool as usual.

The animation in this episode was great. It flowed quite lovely and was very fluid. I like episodes with major villians more but this one is the exception that proves the rules. A very cool episode. ****

Personal favorite episode, "sunspots" playing tonight... still loved this episodes in exploring an overpowered and weakening Static during a sunspot cycle.
