Checking a couple of Death Magnetic songs out. While I was quite digging "Broken, Beat, and Scarred", and this one's opening, I'm not a fan of the frantic composition and chorus.

Even still, I have high hopes for this one, and hope to get it soon.

Yes, Yes, and Yes! I would recomend "Unknown Solider" off the Phobia album. It's a great song (a little depressing) and one of my personal favorites.

As for me, "Streamline" and "Lonely Day" by System of a Down.

Going from "She's The Pink of Perfection" to "The Ugly Buy Ball" from the Summer Magic soundtrack. You know, this really is an underrated movie with a great score. Most people forget it against The Parent Trap and Pollyanna, and while these are better movies, I still think Hayley Mills and the rest of the cast did a great job on this one. Should get the DVD while it's on sale.

Plus, the fact that "Happy Happy Joy Joy"'s "The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly" line came from "Ugly Bug Ball" adds 5 cool points to it.

I have yet to see them in concert. I almost went to see them when they were touring with Seether and Three Days Grace. Unfortunally that was the night before I had to leave for Florida... at 4 in the morning.

I heard that Breaking Benjamin is supposed to be releasing a new album soon... but you know, if you hear that the album is supposed to be released Dec. 08, that probably means more like Summer 09.

To get into the Christmas spirit, I bought Jingle Spells 2 but was pretty disappointed. I thought last year's Christmas wizard rock album was a lot better. Even the returning bands, for the most part, weren't as good as in the previous album. All the proceeds go to charity, so I don't mind paying my $10 (especially for 18 tracks), but it would have been nice if they were better. And this rate, I'll be sticking to the first Jingle Spells and a couple of songs from the sequel.

I still shudder at that title. Is this kind of music supposed to make you feel angry at the whole world? That's how I felt after hearing it. My ears are still ringing several years after I first heard them scream, I mean, "sing", this song on Letterman.

Either you're not a fan of country music, or you are a Bublé fan, or both.

Speaking of which — "For You" by James Otto right now. Funny how someone who had three very minor hits a couple years ago ended up with the #1 country song of the year ("Just Got Started Lovin' You") and followed it with a total dud. One hit wonders are almost entirely unheard of in country music.

Neither, actually. I like country music (I even listen to singers that are no longer played on the radio) and I can't stand stand Michael Buble, but Blake Shelton's version of that song is awful.

He hasn't had anymore hits because he's managed to not change his sound from traditional country to the pop stuff the radio stations eat up nowadays.

Pretty much the only traditional country act that still gets new songs played on radio is George Strait, and that's only because he's George Strait.
