converted the 4GB file i got from ripping the flv from a project someone made for video of the concert to MP4, and it looks so nice playing in iTunes.
the concert consists of the duo of daft punk in leather with robot heads, mixing music from their 3 studio albums with a gazillion lights, on a freaken pyramid
heres a really low qual version from the project

Went from UFO's "Doctor Doctor" to Iron Maiden's cover. As much as I love this band, this isn't the perfect cover to such a great song, and yes, I blame it on Blaze this time. Bruce could probably do a good take on it, though, I'll bet.

"Und ewig weint Jerusalem" - Kastelrutehr Spatzen
Esther und Hamed
erfuhren sehr früh schon
daß es unsichtbare Grenzen gibt
Grenzen zwischen Menschen
die anders glauben
anders denken
Aber Esther und Hamed lieben sich
und sie geh'n einen steinigen Weg
einen Weg, der ihr Herz nur versteht
Liebe ganz allein
kann die Zukunft sein
Und ewig weint Jerusalem
wenn es Nacht wird auf den Golanhöh'n
wirft die Angst ihre Schatten auf die Stadt
die so viele Tränen hat
Doch irgendwo im Niemandsland
da geh'n zwei Menschen Hand in Hand
da geh'n zwei Menschen Hand in Hand
die voll Hoffnung in die Sterne seh'n
und sie beten für Jerusalem

Iron Maiden- "22 Acacia Avenue". Listening to it from the remastered Beast Over Hammersmith concert tape I got from The Early Days's DVD. I've seen bootlegs of this concert before, and while I already thought it was a great concert, when I see it now in such great quality, I love this performance even more. Bruce is still trying to get the hang of his potential vocal power, but he's adapted fine here. "Total Eclipse" sounds fine here, too, even if the solo still comes out of nowhere and it's still a weak track.

Trying to listen to some of them again today to see if I can remember why I liked them for so long. Turns out... I can't. They're basically the Poison of our generation; talent-less wussies who're the head of a pack of talent-less wussies who mistakenly parade around as "metal stars".

Hey, Poison rocks! At least you can understand them, and C.C. Deville's got some great guitar riffs. :) But I agree, Slipknot is just beyond all kinds of awfulness.

A Cross the Universe - Justice
Justice is an Electronic group that, like Daft Punk, released a Live Album. The album is great, remixing their hits (D.A.N.C.E., We Are Your Friends) with their even better instrumentals (Genesis, Let There Be Light, Stress, Waters of Nazareth). And to top it off, they combine my personal favorite remix (NY Excuse by Soulwax) with Master of Puppets by Metallica, and it is incredibly epic

The Killers' new album, Day & Age. I'm gonna give it a few more listens so that everything can sink in, but so far... not good. I've loved at least half of each of their past albums but this one is just... meh. Unmemorable and weak.
Otherwise, lately it's been:
Coldplay - Prospekt's March (whole album)
David Gilmour - "There's No Way Out Of Here"
Electric Light Orchestra - "Fire On High"
Incubus - "Drive"
Kansas - "Portrait (He Knew)"
Neil Young - "After The Gold Rush"
Neil Young - "Rockin' In The Free World"
Opeth - Ghost Reveries (whole album)
Pain Of Salvation - "Scarsick"
Rush - "Jacob's Ladder"
Scar For Life - Scar For Life (whole album)
Shadow Gallery - "Torn"
Snow Patrol - "The Lightning Strike"
Yes - "Close To The Edge"
Variety is indeed the spice of life. Scar For Life's album was free for download on their site, and me being the free-stuff loving person I am, I decided to check them out. Not half bad.

Agreed. I always thought the name "Poison" sounded like a really hardcore metal band, which I used to think they were and thus would having nothing to do with them, but then I heard their music years ago and was like, "Oh, wow. It's really just fun rock." I was hooked. :)

Am I the only person on earth who hasn't heard a Queen song in full? I've heard Dwight Yoakam's rendition of "Crazy Little Thing Called Love", but that's it. (For the record, I think that this song made perfect sense as a country cover.)
For the record, out of the 25 pages of songs here, besidse my own I only recognized three. Two were country ("Gunpowder & Lead" and "A Real Fine Place to Start"), and the third was AC/DC's "Hells Bells", which I know only because I remember my dad being on a huge AC/DC kick the last time I was at his trailer before he moved.
