You know the whole law of Averages thing? If animated dramas goes mainstream the makers of such shows may have to lower there own standards. It's basically the law of averages ya know, if alot of stuff get's thrown out there alot of it will be garbage. If the suits realized that there is money to be made by making "serious" toons then they may just turn them because the know people will watch it.

That normally is tragic road that ends up being taken, but I don't think that's the case with the animated drama genre that we love so much. Actually I think it's the opposite.

The stuff the suits manufacture -kid friendly shows, imported anime, action-sports cartoons- is a bucket full of generic money as far as they are concerned. Animated dramas have actual thought and hard work put into them. So they could never fit in the life-less catagory above.

And if our animated dramas did go mainstream, those money driven suits, -who don't understand this genre, obviously- will try to put them in their money making loop along with Action Man and Pokemon, and they will fail. Thus sifting out the weasels, since they'll go broke!

Thank you for reading my own personal versian of animated heaven. ;)

Right now, I don't think we have much to worry about. Not one animated drama feature has done good numbers at the box office. Even if one did, I am sure it would take more than one successful release to make things change over night.
