Wow, Bernie Mac is dead? I can't believe it!
Why is everybody dying this year? Heath Ledger is dead, George Carlin is dead, Tim Russert is dead, now this.

I had completely forgotten that he was having health issues as of late. This news has taken me by surprise.

This came as SUCH a shock to me. I had actually heard it while watching the Olympic basketball game this morning. Me and my dad just looked at each other in confusion. I didn't even know he was ill.

Well... that was unexpected. 'Tis a sad thing indeed; he was a talented actor and comedian, and he'll surely be missed. My deepest condolences to his friends and family.

Now, there are only 3 Original Kings Of Comedy (D.L. Hughley, Steve Harvey, and Cedric The Entertainer) left.

Why is everybody dying this year? Heath Ledger is dead, George Carlin is dead, Tim Russert is dead, now this.
Carlin was old, so not a real shock. However, yea, it has been a year of random deaths.
RIP, Bernie.

This is not what I wanted to hear after waking up. What a sad and unexpected turn of events. He was a great comedian, and he'll surely be missed. May he rest in peace.
Damn!
I loved his comedy and actually didn't mind his show. I hate waking up to this type of news, which seems to be happening alot this year.
R.I.P. Mr. Mac.

This is awful, worse for me than Carlin dying. I thought he wasn't looking healthy when I saw pictures of him recently, but they said his pneumonia was getting better...Damn. You'll be missed, Bernie Mac.

Goodbye bernie Mac. Wasn't he on the old SNL?

This news is truly sad to hear, especially considering that the imflammatory lung disease that forced the end of his FOX sitcom was in remission since 2005. I was really hoping that he would up and about again.
R.I.P., Bernie Mac. :(

Goodbye Bernie Mac. Wasn't he on the old SNL?
If you mean the original cast, no, that was Garret Morris. But I think Bernie Mac hosted SNL once, just not the original SNL.
I am truly shocked and saddened by this news. It seemed like he was making a steady recovery. Truly sad.
RIP.

Carlin was old, so not a real shock. However, yea, it has been a year of random deaths.
RIP, Bernie.
The thing with Carlin was that it was amazing he lived as long as he did, considering his lifestyle and everything.

Wow, just yesterday like many of you guys said, I read that he was doing ok. I always liked Bernie so this is a little upsetting. RIP.

Wow this is a shocker, when I first found out I had know there were earilier reports of his death that were fake so I had to check out CNN and MSNBC, their both reporting it so I had to face the sad truth that he was dead.
R.I.P. Bernie you will be missed.

This is just horrible news. For someone to die at a relatively middle age and under "stable" health conditions----I don't ever remember hearing he had health problems...
Rest in Peace, Bernie Mac. Bless your soul.

It usually doesn't, though with those with underlying conditions like him (or those who are really old in age), it's a big thing.

It's called mortality. These things happen, sadly.

This was really surprising. I didn't expect him to die so early.
I really did enjoy his work, his small role in the movie Friday was one of my favorites from him. Rest in Peace and thanks for all the laughs.

 Damn! That's not what I read in my local newspaper today; it said he was responding well to treatments. At first I thought his death was a rumor.
I really liked his show and he was funny...RIP Mr. Mac. You will be missed greatly. :crying:
I can't believe it...Carlin, Russert, Ledger, and now this. What a sad year...

I thought so too especially the Sinbad actor "succumbed to a fatal heart attack" and the Steve Burns "died of drug overdose" rumors.
But Who's next in line? It could be Bob Barker or Robin Williams.
Remember, Rod Rodney was a great announcer for TPIR and the voice of Mike from Disney's House of Mouse.

Boy, just reminds you clear and simple: don't take life for granted, people go in the blink of an eye.
My condolences to his family and friends... he was a very funny man. I remember my mother and I would be laughing all night over his show. :(
