Okay, I'm trying to burn some AVIs onto DVD. So far I've tried two programs, FinalBurner and Ashampoo Burning Studio. And both of them had the same result: the video burned fine, but none of the sound was transferred.
Anyone else ever had this problem? Got any reccomendations for better software?

Hmmm.....that's a tough one. I too just recently burned AVI's to DVD's. But the program I used was Windows DVD Maker. They work just fine and play on my tv and everything. Sorry I couldn't be any help though...I've never encountered that problem before.

Hmmm... isn't that more about copying DVDs omtp computer than vice versa? I downloaded that DVD Shrink thing and it couldn't load my AVIs...

I say you should convert the file types and if that works. I recomend using Any Video Converter 2.5.9 (that's the free version). get it at anyvideoconverter.com

Just tried that, still no luck
I did some searching and I think this might have somethign to do with codecs. Unfortunately, that's a subject I know next to nothing about...

I'm a little late here, but if you're still having problems, I'd recommend first trying out DVD Flick (http://www.dvdflick.net/) - should be easy enough to figure out, but you're severely limited with regards to options and there's no menu creation.
If that fails, then the near fail-safe option would be this stuff here. (http://www.playbackhelp.com/doc/guides/queue/)
It's much more complicated and requires some reading to understand it if you're a newbie to encoding formats and all that, and you'll still need another program to burn the resulting converted files to disc, but it's worth it if you think you'll have any more videos in the future to convert.

I usually convert all my video files to Mpeg 2 and then burn them to DVD. I am in the process of converting an FLV file right now, and when that's done I will see what burning program I use. FYI, I use Total Video Converter for my needs.
