I got an advance copy of the mag in the mail along with the Eltingville screener, so I was able to take a look inside, and it IS a fun magazine for kids, with the kind of humor that the teens and high schoolers would appreciate too.

There's a freaky comic crossover between The Powerpuff Girls and Scooby Doo, which I hope never ever happens again, but it was cute. :P

Nearly every Cartoon Network character is in here, from Blossom to Samurai Jack to TOM2 to Space Ghost!

So pick it up.. if you're the age it's appropriate for that is. Adults would probably find it a little too boring and childish, but it IS a kid's magazine after all. It sort of reminds me of the Disney Adventures mags from the early 90s.

And hey, who wouldn't appreciate a magazine with a picture of Marvin Martian in front of N*SYNC and Michael Jackson, with caption: "Marvin comes back to Earth to take his people home."

I also have a copy and I think it works on both the adult and child level. While there are no "hard hitting" articles, the whole magazine takes the stance that all Cartoons are real people, and it treats them like celebrities. Its more funny than the Disney or Nick magazines because it doesn't talk down to the reader....hell it doesn't even talk to the reader, its like they are just making a magazine with no reguard for who reads it (its that insane).

So pick up a copy when you can. It will be avaliable at Boards, Barne & Noble, and many other book stores. CCF fans, Adult Swim fans, and Toonami fans will all get a kick out of it, trust me.

Here's something from one of my favorite parts of the magazine, the Cartoonifieds

Has anyone translated any of Mojo's codes? I wonder if they're anything funny or interesting, but I'm too lazy to decode them myself.

Space Ghost: Well, what are you doing here? Is there something wrong with my history?

Otto: No, I'm just plugging my TV show.

Space Ghost: Huh! Well, that's pretty shallow if you ask me.
