Do you think it would work? I know Stallone dosen't want to do one, but do you think it would turn out?

I read that Stallone is supposedly planning another Rocky (along with a fifth Rambo). However, I've only heard him mention a fifth Rambo a few times and state that he's begun working on the script, but I've heard nothing else of another Rocky.

There shouldn't have been a Rocky 4, 5, and 6 IMO...

Just looking at the title of this thread should tell you the answer, no.

Stallone has stated it was the last one.

He has also stated he wants more Rambo movies which is why he didn't want Rambo 07 to be called John Rambo since he no longer wanted it to be the "last one" like Rocky Balboa was for that reason.

I really liked Rocky Balboa since not only did it bring up a big Nostaglic feel for Rocky (and I haven't even seen all the Rocky movies fully) but it also felt like the definite close on the chapter, actually allowing Rocky to go out on the same note he had in the first movie and have one that dealt with the age gap of him compared to the younger boxers that make up the sport today. I see no point to a Rocky VII movie. Any other Rocky Ideas after this one would either just be ridicolous parody types or trying to bring a new fighter into the mix, which failed in Rocky V and would fail even more again. There is probably more that can be done with the Rambo franchise (though I haven't really seen Rambo) but Rocky is done. Let it actually be one of those series that came back after a 10+ year gap and was actually GOOD instead of just making you wonder they bothered bringing it back at all.

Yeah, Rocky Balboa was the perfect, if bitter sweet, end to the Rocky saga.

I'm still pissed that movie didn't get any Oscars. Any film that can make a man physically experience pain simply by having Rocky walking around a old, rotting neighborhood with sad music in the background deserves something.

Not before Ricky 2.

No, the story is told. Rocky 6 was a perfect way to end the story.

It should've ended at the third one.
Actually I'd prefer just one Rocky movie, but I really like "Eye of the Tiger".

The only Rocky movie that actually sucked was Rocky V. The others have all been entertaining in one way or the other.

Each film is pretty much standalone but over all form a biographical look at one of America's greatest heroes and icons. I would absolutely say each film has always earned its keep.

Rocky V...we shall not mention here.

Sort of. Rocky II can't really be called stand-alone. It literally begins where the first movie ended. And, it continues the story. The other movies CAN be considered stand-alone although there's still a lot of continuity.

Good lord, no. Rocky Balboa was the perfect denouement for the character.

the only real way to do it would be to have rocky training his son and i really wouldn't care too much about that story. rocky balboa was the best way to go out.......

now, a crossover movie-that's the way to go next!.....
