What do you consider to be the most shocking, racist cartoon ever made in the history of animation....

I picked as the most racist cartoon ever made is..."PICKANINNY BLUES" released in 1932 by the Van Bueren Studios/RKO Radio

This is the most shocking, racist cartoon in the history of animation HANDS DOWN. This cartoon deals with everything from, cotton picking, eating watermelon, a slave turning white as a ghost after she escapes with her baby from the slave owners, and the most graphic scene in the film is where they have a slave auction, with the Black slaves are in chains wrapped around their necks. But the flim focuses on Uncle Tom & Little Eva, as little eva is not allowed to play with Uncle Tom, and all hell break loose when the bloodhounds are sent to bring back one of the slaves, but it's Uncle Tom to the rescue, and saves the day.

CARTOON NOTE: Back in the mid-forties. when home movie distributor, OFFICAL FILMS bought the rights to the Van Beuren cartoons, many of the cartoons were changed with different names and titles. This was originally an AESOP FABLES cartoon but the series was changed to JUNGLE JITTERS. Offical Films also re-titled PICKANINNY BLUES into UNCLE TOM & LITTLE EVA.

When I first saw this cartoon, I couldn't believe on what I was seeing...You must see this cartoon to see for yourself

Don't you mean WISE QUACKERS, not WISE QUACKS?

And TOKIO JOKIO should be on your list. I haven't seen that cartoon for myself, but I heard the racial content for that cartoon was extreme.

Also, what's "Jasper In A Jam" about and what racial stereotypes does it have?

Well I seemed to make a couple of errors on this one, since I'm still at work...

CORRECTION: Jungle Jinks NOT Jungle Jitters
Wise Quackers NOT Wise Quacks

My Mistake fellas....error on me

"Jasper In A Jam" is from the Puppetoons series back in the early 1940s and was released by Paramount Pictures. If some of you don't know who Jasper was, I tell you.
Jasper was a little black boy and was George Pal's (the series creator) biggest star in the series history, all of the films featuring Jasper are banned from tv...but last December, Image Video released on DVD "THE PUPPETOON MOVIE" along with classic original "Puppetoons" shorts. The shorts feature several "Jasper" films on the dvd release, these wasn't your avarage cartoon shorts, these films were stop motion, where the small puppet was moved at one frame at a time , thus making the characters move just like a regular cartoon.

BTW:In the 1944 Puppetoon cartoon, "JASPER GOES HUNTING" a animated Bugs Bunny (animated by Robert Mckimson) makes a small cameo apperance, where Jasper is going hunting and come across a rabbit hole and out pops Bugs, Jasper says "It's Bugs Bunny" and Bugs says"Oops I must be in the wrong picture" and goes back down the hole.

Here it is. (This is a complete print; the print I've seen on videotape is missing a chunk.)

I've only seen 1 of them "Your a sap Mr.Jap"(on BBC 1 believe it or not).

I'm so dissapointed with CN UK because they don't censor(most of) their cartoons they can show anything BUT they never do!

This was a tough one, since I have only seen a couple of those on the list.

I chose "All This And Rabbit Stew" because that was nothing but a low-blow on Afr.-Am.'s throughout the whole film. But it's interesting that the beginning of "The Big Snooze" takes the chase scene from this film, only Elmer replaces the black boy and no contract was at stake.

I also have seen Wise Quacks and Jungle Jitters, but before I die, I want to see Der Fuerher's Face!

One more thing: there is a cartoon from MGM not listed that should be on this list, and a lot of people have forgotten about it...certainly the funniest cartoon (in my mind) from MGM I have ever seen...Tex Avery's "Half-Pint Pygmy" (1947). I'd love to see that one again!

I go with "Pickaninny Blues" (aka "Uncle Tom & Little Eva") as probably the most racist cartoon I've seen. C'mon, a slave auction? People with balls & chains on their legs being led by a white sheriff? While I did chuckle in a few spots, I usually fast-forward through this one on my tape of racist 'toons. I also fast-forward through "Voodoo In Harlem"

One question - how could you leave out "Angel Puss"?

Aside from "Tokio Jokio," I have a hard time watching "Angel Puss." It just isn't a very good cartoon, not nearly on par with the other hilarious stuff Jones was doing at the time. It just shows why Lou Lilly didn't do more stuff with the Jones unit...

I'm new to looking for rare animation, so I've only seen three of these, All This and Rabbit Stew, Coal Black and de Sebben Dwarfs, and Der Fuerher's Face. I'd say 'Stew' is the most racist of these, even without the racism it still wouldn't be a very funny cartoon.
