Absolutely Hilarious. Probably Ferrell's best since Anchorman. Very VERY raunchy film, and Richard Jenkins surprised me with how well he played his character. Everyone gave a great ensemble performace in this, One who stole the show was Adam Scott playing Will Ferrell's younger brother. This is gonna be a new often quoted film for the next many many years
I absolutely loathe Will Ferrell, but I can't deny that this movie's premise is downright hilarious.

Quick question: Is the whole movie as funny as the scene in the trailer when Dale jumps on the bunk beds, which break and trap Brennan inside? I swear, I can't stop watching that scene.
"This is how we do it..." CRASH AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Jeez, did the movie suck so badly that you guys gave it no attention? I liked it, personally.
Jeez, did the movie suck so badly that you guys gave it no attention? I liked it, personally.Uh.........just because the talkback only got four replies doesnt mean people thought the movie sucked? I think what happened was it came out around the the time Batman (on this forum at least) was "zomg the greatest movie ever" and this just didnt generate any inerest and just got lost in the mix. I watched the movie and loved it but just forgot to comment lol.

Yeah true, That's what I'm thinking. I wonder why the movie only lasted two weeks at box office, though.

I like Ferrell, Reilly and Apatow but hated (what I saw of) this. I may try again by DVD time but this holds the 'honor' of the first film I have ever walked out on.

Really? What did you dislike about the movie?
Yeah true, That's what I'm thinking. I wonder why the movie only lasted two weeks at box office, though.Uh.........no? Step Brothers was out of the top 12 almost a month after it was released, about 4 weeks.
Not quite as good as Anchorman (and really, nothing is) but still a really funny film, filled with stuff only Ferrall could get away with. Some great quotes to be found in this one - I think the best I can remember is when Reily is complaining that these hillbillies have moved in "this is a house of learned people!"
This will definatly be one to watch over and over again on DVD. Better than Ricky Bobby.

Oh wow, it still did pretty sucky for a awesome movie. Not as good as Anchorman, no, but it was WAY better than Talladega Nights.
