Who owns Mr. Bug?

I´ve seen Gulliver in CN and in tape but no trace of the other Fleischer feature from that time -- Mr. Bug Goes to town. Who owns it?

Also, are te Gabby cartoons in public domain?

In the USA, American Movie Classics owns the movie.

Republic Entertainment (Viacom) owns both Mr. Bug and Gulliver, (and the Gabby cartoons). The movies air on American Movie Classics in the U.S. sometimes.

IIRC, since Republic became part of the Viacom family along with Paramount Pictures, I believe "Gulliver" and "Mr. Bug Goes to Town" have the dubious distinction of being the only two pre-1948 Paramount feature films that are owned by Paramount (albeit through a shared parent company). All other pre-48 Paramount features were sold to the Music Corporation of America in 1955, which six years later bought Universal Studios and (like AAP with the cartoons) has made a nice peice of change over the years reting out those movies in syndication packages.

Paramount never sold their silent movies, so those also are owned by Paramount.
