How about an "Elseworlds" cartoon show. Each story can be from 1-3 episodes in length. You can base some of them on current comic Elseworlds stories. For example their is one where Kal-El (Supes) is found and raised by the Wayne's. And he becomes a superpowered Batman. Their is another where Supes crashed in Kansas. But, in the mid-1800's and helped fight the civil war. Or they can create new stories using all of the various characters from the DC universe.

That is a great idea. It would give some new twists to old characters, much like those old "What If..." comics. (ex. What if the Avengers had fought Galactus)

My only concern would be that a show like that would go over the head of many non-comic readers. But if you have a great three part opener (like the Kal-El Batman), you can hopefully get the show in TV Guide, get some media play out of it, and make a fun new show.

Anyone out there from Cartoon Network listening to this?

There should be a cartoon based on the popular 'Gotham Girls' web carttoons. Now that would be cool! :D

Interesting concept. Don't know how well it would work though...

How bout this for a new series...

Flash (Wally West) has a major fight with his wife/girlfriend and they get a divorce/break up. Poor ol' Flash gets kicked out of his apartment by his ex, and he's just got his costume and the clothes on his back. Not knowing where else to turn, Wall shows up at the door of a friend's place...

John Stewart. Just think, it'd be like the Odd Couple only with superpowers.

I am really going to go against the grain and say this idea would not fly. Why? Mainly because if DC is going to invest good money in a new animated series, it's going to reflect their current main stream titles and not, and pardon the expression, some fanboy fantasy. Maybe an Elseworld's story could be incorporated into a regular series, but as a series all by itself, there is no way that would ever get off the ground. Not to mention they would alienate all the viewers who do not read comic books who are tuning in to watch their familar heroes in familar stories, and that would be so detrimental to them.

Justice League Unlimited would be an ausome show. As well as Green Lantern Corps and many others.

I was only kidding Calhoun. Believe me, there are MANY animated series I would make before that one. Just trying to bring some levity to the boards.

I would love to Dini and Co. re-invent Wonder Woman. Just think , they don't have that much to work with so they could build her from scratch.

He was talking about the Elseworlds idea, not your Odd Couples idea.

Wonder Woman would be the next logical step, although I'd still like to see that Catwoman series they scrapped :)
