Do any of you read Gotham Knights? What do you think of her? What do you think about her leaving GK and moving over to Nightwing? She has a lot of hater's out there. It seems as if everytime she writes a good story that I like everyone else hates it. Such as a few issues ago when Bruce was talking with the costume. I liked it and everyone else hated it. I'll expand more on this topic tonight. I've got to bounce in a few like a check written by Red Fox.

Devin Grayson is a HECK of a writer. The Nightwing "haters" will grow to love her, since she loves Nightwing. She has some...radical ideas. Sick even. But I'll miss her.

Yeah, I think she's done a heck of a job, and I'm gonna miss her almost as much as I'm gonna miss Rucka when he leaves Detective. She's a fantastic writer, and she's pretty easy on the eyes as well! ;)

I really hope Rucka takes the color scheme with him when he leaves. If he leave I want it gone too. Did you know she doen't do research on the characters she writes? She just pulls a card out with some facts and that's about it.

Personally, I hope the color scheme stays - its one of my favorite thing about the "new' Detective.

Honestly it doesn't bother me anymore. I've either become acustom to it or it's gotten better. When it first debuted I had a great abomination for it. I wanted it gone almost as much as I want Jose Mack gone. I really want the back-up's gone more than I do the colors.

I liked the color scheme from the start )I think I was one of the very few that did).

I could do without the back-ups. Most of them have been pretty disappointing so far.

Can you think of a good back-up? I can't. Gotham Knights on the other hand has had some gems. I can do without the back-up's there too. Since when do we need a back-up? How about we concentrate on making the comic better. Give the comic we pay money for more attention than a 3 page back-up 90% of the people don't read.

Well, I like the idea of the backups - very retro - reminds me of the comics I used to read as a kid. But, yeah, the only good back-up I can think of off the top of my head was the Sam Bradley one. And I remember one black and white one I really, really liked, but I can't think of who it was by or what it was about.

Comics have changed a lot. If the back-up's were Batman related then I might flip through them better, but I buy Batman comics because I want to read about Batman. I don't care about anything else. The trial of Catwoman that was a real good story. I didn't read it and the art of the back-up made me not want to even look at it.

I like Devin Grayson's writing a lot. I didn't realize there were people that hated her so badly. Who are these people that hate her by the way, and why?

I like how many of the stories are very reflective and have some sort of poetic element. Also, she seems to tie up stories very well in the end.

BTW, I met her last year and I must say, she's a pretty cool chick. I'm a bit sad she's leaving GK, but I'm glad she'll still be around for Nightwing. Considering she's such a big "Dick" fan  I think her transition will roll over smoothly. For those of you snickering... you know I mean Dick Grayson, Mr. Original Boy Wonder himself. Get your mind out of the gutter... :p

Yeah, she's a very cool person. I've spoken with her at several comic conventions, and she's always incredibly friendly, and very responsive to what the fans opinions are. She was interested in what I had to say about the characters in general, and about what I thought of her work, and showed genuine interest in portraying the characters to the fans' satisfaction.

Beyond Batman if you visit the offical Gotham Knight's board at the DC MB by infopoop then you will find a forum full of haters.

I like her work. I thought I was the only one. If you have free time and belong to the DC MB you should check it out sometime. I haven't been there for a month, but I doubt it's changed much. They were all happy when it was annouced she was leaving.
