Is it just the Japanese track, or is it the English track too? If it's the former, it sounds like a scam for VIZ to get more people to watch the dub instead, although I do not have any issues with the dub itself.

Well, the dub can butcher Japanese sometimes (Mikami for example).

Yes. The first box set will have episodes 1-20. I'm kicking myself now for buying the singles. Oh well.
