Now that I've see all the episodes of CB, (except for the one they lost (and later found, but played on a weeknight) a few sundays ago. I would like to know what's going to happen to the Cowboy Bebop Movie.
Will it be released to Cartoon Network? DVD only? or will it auctually see a theatrical release? (yeah, like they would ever do something that cool)
ALSO, does it take place after Real Folk Blues Pt.2, or does it fit within the episodes?
Would adult swim have a movie night for somwthing like this? (Like Friday at midnight?)
WHile I'm on the Subject of Movies, has anything been said about the Tenchi Movies? (Which take place after the Baseline Tenchi Muyo series, (Not the other two "ALTs")

The movie officially takes place between episodes 22 and 23. Technically, it could take place at any point between episodes 9 and 23.
The movie will be seeing a theatrical relase, with obviously a DVD release afterwards. The anime industry is moving away from VHS, so don't be surprised if its never released on tape.
The movie would fit very nicely on AS since they've shown the whole series. The only problem at this point is that its about 2 hours long, meaning they'd have to dedicate 2 and a half to 3 straight hours for it and remove everything else from the block for a week. The terrorist aspect of it doesn't seem like something to worry about anymore.

From the Cowboy Bebop site:
The mis-matched crew of the Bebop are back, and this time they’re on the silver screen. The movie edition Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door takes place between episodes 22 and 23 of the original TV series, just before the characters went their separate ways. This could be your last chance to see Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed and Ein together – so don’t miss it!
It's been licensed by Columbia/Tristar and reportedly a theatrical release is being considered (especially since Metropolis did so well)

Lost because they lost the tape.

KoHD is a new vid release on region 2, I haven't seen anybody with an actual copy but there are quite a few reviews of the disc around. A theatrical release for that baby is severly needed over here, so I've been keeping my fingers crossed, the Swim can have it later:).......

The Cowboy Bebop movie is fantastical. Yes, I HAVE seen it, I'm not just blowing hot air. The animation is spectacular & better than the series (amazing, since most of the animation for the show was already very high quality), the action scenes are exteremly cool, and the music is wonderful as ususal (and in some very funny/appropriate parts). I can't wait for it to come to the states so I don't have to read subtitles anymore...
Where/when did you see it?

I got it on VCD, and this movie kicks some serious ass...
The animation is incredible, the story is great, and the action is the same incredibleness that the series has...
if you haven't seen it, I definitly recommend seeing it...

where did you get the VCD? Ebay perhaps? (Thats where I got the whole DB/DBZ/DBGT series) Does it have subtitles? I got an old Akira VCD that had screwy convoluted subtitles that made little or no sense.

MOST the time, VCDs are either imports from China with Mandorin/Cantonese dubbs with subtitles or some other weird assortment. With Akira, I never understood why people wasted their monies when a few bootlegs came around while there was/still is a fairly large N.O.S.(new old/original stock, just in case) of the Orion Video Streamline release, dubbed and subtitled. Just because there was a lapse of liscensing or something there did not entitle people to start bootlegging the thing. I still have my old Akiras, & I've seen many more lying around. Most the time, it's worth waiting for the official release or spend the extra cash on an import of the DVD of what you want, if you need it quick and cannot live another day. I also suspect the movie's on a hotline server, I've heard from several people who've already seen this. There's more people I've talked to who have seen KoHD than the Escaflowne movie, which is in theatres here:confused:!!!!
Anyways, last time I checked, http://www.animenewsservice.com had a nice review of the KoHD DVD, going through all its' features and everything. Also, http://www.ex.org/articles/2001/2001.09.01-exclusive-bebop-pg1.html had some original press releases from an advanced Sony showing in Japan, and they have a review, http://www.ex.org/articles/2002/2002.02.02-rev_anime-j-cowboy_bebop_knockin_on_heavens_door.html. Those like myself who are careful of spoilers will want to, ummm, be careful of spoilers on that EX page:rolleyes:.......
As for the animation on it, yes it's different, it's done by Bones. http://www.bones.co.jp :p!!!!!!!

Through the glory of Morpheus & a friend with a cable modem. It's a FanSub, and while the adress of the people that did the 'titles is in the movie, I'm not going to post it, because it'd probably just be deleted by a Mod in a couple of minutes anyway. Copyright restrictions, and all.

I got my VCD of the movie on Ebay as well. I also have it on a regular VHS video tape as well.
Do any of you have The Perfect Sessions? Is it worth the steep price? Sorry, this is off topic.

I'll just bump this thread back to the front page...
I found The Pefect Sessions at amazon.com for $160, which seems pretty good. Does anybody know a place, besides ebay, where it's cheaper? I don't want it used.
