X-men 2 rumors.

I've heard some interesting stuff. I don't know if any of this is true or not, and I don't know if you've talked about it or not already, but here it is. I have heard that some of the new characters could be Beast and Gambit. For the villians, Mr. Sinister and the Sentinels. Now personally, I think that Sinister would be great to see, but I don't know how he would fit with the sentinels. Again, this was only a rumor! It's just something I've heard. If anyone can bring any truth to this rumor, I'd appreciate it! I really want to know who they'll have as the new characters!

Honestly, I forget exactly WHO they'd say would be in the movie, but I think that it was Beast & Gambit, who they mentioned. Hmmm...we'll see!
The Sentinals have been 'the villian' rumored ever since the sequal was mentioned. Magneto will return, but I don't know as to in what capacity. And, if the X-Men 3 rumors are correct(with Apocalypse being the villian), Mr. Sinester would work really well as a "shadowey character in the background" kinda villian for X2. Hmm...I guess we'll just have to wait & see...

We can only hope that X-Men doesn't go the Batman-like route of having more than one major villain per movie. I've only heard stuff about the Sentinels, nothing about Mr. Sinister.

As long as Bryan Singer remains the director, X-Men should maintain its integrity. If he ever drops from the project, I'm almost positive that it will go the way of the batman movies.

Beast has been scratched, from all reports, in favor of Gambit and possibly Nightcrawler. The villains are supposed to be the Sentinels, Magneto, and Mystique. Brian Singer has said he wants to use Proteus in one of the movies.

Who *wouldn't* want to use Proteus? Aside from any director with a low budget. Bah, we get Sentinels instead of Proteus? At least I'm almost positive that he'll make them look menacing for a change.

Well, Last I had heard was Beast and Gambit(Executives want Gambit), or Beast and Nightcrawler(Singer want's Crawler).

Back to the using Sinister and the Sentinells thing: About a yea ago I put up a scene by scene idea for how this could work in a Movie approxamately 2 hour's long(Scene length's were mapped out.) at Comics2film.com's message board.

Basically, The Registration Act was passed, Sinister Slaughtered the morlock's, Rogue get's power's, Magneto raises Asteroid M, The X-Men defeat the sentinel's, and a fight with Sinister and Apocalypse is set-up for the third movie. Remarkably I did what WB Writer's couldn't do...I made several stories mesh in one movie...How you ask? I did it the way they do in COmic's...SUBPLOT'S! Not everyhtiong has to be center stage. I personally think Singer can be relied on to figure out the use of Sub plot's, especially if Hayter is more deeply involved in the final script than the other guy writing it with him.

I think it could work if they had him as the shadowy figure behind it like JustJack said.

I think it would be alot more fun to see Nightcrawler or Gambit, rather than the Beast. We've already got the toad bouncing round the room. Plus Gambit could give Rogue a love interest. Actually, I don't know if the whole love interest thing would be good idea. Also, I think they should at least acknowledge that Scott has a brother.

I would rather not see Psylocke.

You know they would make her clothes even smaller than in the comics, making her a national sex symbol thus changing the way Marvel does the X-Men comics to have only Psylocke and sex. :rolleyes:

I'd rather them not introduce Gambit because one loner on the team is more than enough for now. And wouldn't Rogue be a bit too young for him? Unless you want it to have the Colossus/Kitty Pryde feel. I'd rather have Beast, although it'd be weird introducing two blue fur balls at once.

For that matter, I wouldn't mind seeing Colossus. A powerhouse would be really helpful against the sentinels. Especially if Nimrod shows up.

I hope they can catch the feel of sentinels if they do use them. Like showing just how dark the days are for mutants when they are around.

Also, would like to see the Hellfire club. Circa right before the Dark Phoenix. Shaw and that crew.

If Nimrod shows up I think Bishop would be a good choice for the second X-flick. Granted there would be a little bit of explaining about where I came from but I'm sure singer could pull it off. Plus it would be kewl to see him fight the X-Men (thinking one of them a traitor) and then fight with them (kinda hoping to see Magnus with the X-Men in the second movie).

In the comics, I think Rouge was a wee bit older when she joined the X-Men, but I could be wrong. Heck, they could de-age Gambit for the movie.
