My thoughts are, sooner or later Clark would think, Gee dont doctors have those lead blanket/apron things that they put on people who are getting xrays? So why not wear something like that underneath his clothes? Even if his hands and head are still exposed to kryptonite he shouldnt be so weak around it. Plus he would be inconspicuous.

In theory it sounds great. But in reality, wouldn't it just be plain stupid (I don't mean to sound mean or anything)? I mean, those things aren't exactly light, and they constrict movement. It would probably help a lot when he did come face to face with Kryptonite, but the majority of the time I would think it would be a great big nusiance. And none to cheap either, I mean, those things aren't exactly lying around, and I doubt the Kents would spend a whole lot of money on it.

I could see Clark maybe having a Kryptonite suit he busts out occaisonally when he really needs it, ala STAS. I don't think it would be practical or comfortable to wear it everyday.
Besides, if Clark and Lana have a little too much to drink and start going at it sometime, what's Clark gonna say. "Gee Lana, I always wear lead underoos. Doesn't everybody?"

You do realize he'd have to wear a helmet, right? Just a lead vest does him no good.
