Yea, I almost went insane when I couldn't get on.
Anyways, this was an OK episode, like usual. The first segment wasn't awesome, but the Cammie Island segment was very good. It had a very creative plot and a good deal of funniness too. Cammie is a very imaginative character that I hope we see more of. I still can't get over the ugliness of this show, but its the funniness that keeps me around.

after thinking about it
this show reminds me greatly of Courage the Cowardly Dog.
just slow pace and odd.
i have grown fond of Flapjack, i think he is adorable and so overly polite, a bit stupid at times. "going blind because his hair grew"
i wonder if people will be turned off by the sinisterness of the characters sometimes.

A Shave and a Haircut - I liked the barber and his quartet but that's about it.
Cammie Island - It was funny when Cammie chased them but that's about it.
I like the show for some reason, I hope next week's episodes are better.

This show's design seems to be based on some type of art style, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

To me, it seems like the designs are inspired by old-styled fashion.
IE: Barbers that wear red and white clothing, rich people who have those white wigs and are covered in powder, etc.

It also reminds me of the rustic wood-chisled artwork you see at seaside shops around where I live.

"Shave and a Haircut" was the first episode of this show I really liked. I dunno why, but I find barbershop quartets hilarious.

Yes, that's right. I read somewhere that the art was inspired by the 1800's. I'm not sure where I read this, or why they decided to take that approach, or even if the source was reliable, but hey, you can kinda tell that its focused on that time period by the way the characters are dressed and the lack of technology. That evil underwater dude in the pilot episode even called the camera a "picture box".

That barber in A Shave and a Haircut was so ugly, I love it! It's great to have many ugly characters in this show.
I also laughed at the weird ending. Were the shark and dolphin sleeping together in Bubbie's hair (after the shark bit into the dolphin)?
Cammie Island also had a funny bit where Flapjack and the bird were having a conversation with coffee cups while stealing her eggs.
The look the walrus gave K'nuckles when he was chewing on it was genius.
This was a great episode. The show keeps getting better. The dreary backgrounds are so beautiful. It's a great counter-weight to the bright color scheme of Chowder.
