It appears that Warner's might not be as much of a skunk as we thought them to be. If you go to Headline section of the main page, you will see an interesting story entitled Chuck Jones' Animation to DVD!! It seems that the restoration of the shorts has been going on for some time, and now with Chuck's passing, it sounds like it's gotten a higher priority. We just might be seeing Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies (Chuck's at least) on DVD. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!

WB has been working on them for a long time, apparently.

Can't wait for DVD's (I'll be first in line!)

I'm not getting my hopes up too high. If I had a dollar for everytime the "Digital Bits" or "DVD File" or some other DVD news site reported a Looney Tunes DVD release... I'd have a whole lot of dollars.

I'll celebrate when I hear it on www.cartoonresearch.com/ !!

Me three, I find it strange that they would restore the cartoons and not let anyone like Jerry Beck know or be a part of it. BTW, the LT on DVD petition was put over 3,000 signatures recently. Jones' unfortunate death seems to have led more people to the petition. Many people seem to say the same thing "release them UNEDITED!"....except for one person who wants to see the edited versions because "That has no place in today's society"

I'll wait until I see it on Amazon with a release date and cover art.

No offense to Mr. Beck, because I know he tries hard to get releases like this made possible and to let everyone know about it, but I think we all learned from June Bugs that Warner Bros. can sometimes let that other shoe drop after announcing great news.

Hi guys!

Thanks for your confidence in me for accurate and truthful news (especially on Warner cartoon DVD news).

Unfortunetly, because I am involved (on a freelance basis) with WHV I am prevented from telling you all I know (either here, in personal e-mails or my own website). I got in trouble once (actually twice) for spilling the beans about forthcoming videos - and I risk losing the opportunity of providing input (and guidence) to these projects.

That said, please read into that statement what you will. I will tell you that something is happening. And I'll drop a small hint that the first things that are happening won't be as exciting as the things that will happen the following year (how's that for a very vague clue).

As soon as I can I will reveal all info - and I believe I will reveal accurate info on this before anyone else - so keep watching my website in the months to come.

P.S. I also have news regarding the LANTZ Columbia House Videos, but I cannot explain it all yet. Be patient! (I get personal e-mails from many of you Termite Terrace Message Board folks)

I fight the good fight with these companies, to get what we'd like to see on VHS & DVD. It's out of my hands (and the people in charge are out of their minds!). Hang in there - good things are coming... down the road.
