Yes, Butt-Ugly Martians is that damn horrible. You know what's even worse? They took Invader Zim out of its original time-slot to show more of this crap. And now, they've BOTH been ousted, so they can show an hour of "Rocket Power" or some other crap.

Trust me, it's pure crap. I was at Wal*Mart yesterday and I could not belive how much BUM stuff is in the toy department! The best thing is, was that it was not selling well. :D

I'm not too surprised it's so bad. I haven't caught an episode of it yet (I'm not a big Nick fan) but seems like most of the reason for the show's existence is those incredibly marketable action figures. :rolleyes:

Even though this isn't on Nick, has anyone seen "Teamo Supremo?" That was such a terrible show! I heard people on here before talking about how horrible it was so when they had a marathon on Disney last Friday, I decided I'd watch one episode to give it a try. Well, I *almost* made it through half of the show before I had to change the channel. It was so annoying. Every time they do something they start yelling 'chi-ka,' 'wuh-pa,' etc. which they called a "battle cry." I can not tell you how much that bothered me...The whole show was crap...Pure crap...:rolleyes:

Anyway, sorry for getting off the topic, but I had to complain about it! :mad:

I don't watch Nick anymore, so when I first saw a commercial for Butt Ugly Martians, I thought it was a joke. It had to be, what self respecting writer/animator/etc would work on a show called Butt Ugly Martians. I asked once and everyone told me it was a lame cartoon, so my boycott of Nick continues.

Btw, the BUM initials, in the toy commercials they'll say BUTT UGLY MARTIANS but when they say the initials they say B.K.M. but don't give anything that the K stands for.

What's sad about this show is the fact that Kath Soucie, Rob Paulsen, and Robert Stack (Robert 'Freakin' Stack! Ultra Magnus!) worked on that show. Ironicaly, this is the only show on Nick that passes for an action cartoon, and it ain't pretty.

Geez and to think they could have had the incredible "Constant Payne" toon to have for true action. I've tried watching BUM a couple of times and pretty much can't stand it. The animation isn't that great and the storylines are pretty weak. Dang! I was shocked when my dad told me he thought the voice was Robert Stack - I thought he had better taste than to do this show. I just keep wanting him to bust out with "Join me for another Unsolved Mysteres - perhaps you could help solve a mystery".

Yeah this is definately a low point in the career of Robert Stack, and he was good in his last animated endevour(Beavis & Butthead Do America). I usually prefer british shows to american ones(Danger Mouse, Count Duckula, Ab Fab, Are You Being Served(the early seasons when they work in the store, not the bad ones when they work in the mansion), Mr. Bean, and others) but I just don't get what the Brits see in this one. One more thing; did they redub this show for the US, because I noticed it has no british VAs in it, or was this just a case of the show premiering there before it did here?

Nope, no British VAs when it was shown here. On a side note, the B.K.M. thing translates as Butt Kicking Mode (basically, they each get a large armoured suit-obviously designed to become toys :p ). I have to agree that the show is pretty crap. We had this lame teaser campaign "They're coming" *one of the martians starts laughing*

"Are You Being Served?" is so funny! I caught it a few times on PBS and my mom and I were cracking up. I used to always watch "Count Duckula" when I was younger and I really liked that one, too. It's too bad Nick doesn't have quality shows like that anymore....*sighs* =\

At FAO Schwartz in NYC, there's a whole section complete with video and the theme song on repeat. While I passed by after a fruitless search for the Jango Fett figure.... a slight alteration of the theme song came into my head.

I have in mind several alternative choruses, of which "knocking" is the nicest. Also, I've turned the "stuff my girth" line into several humorous references to the...well...unplesant aftermath of indulgence, if you catch my drift. [cues tape of rude body noises a la the Howard Stern show]
