3:00 a.m. or whenever the hell it is those shows come on??!! God I hate whoever made that scheduling decision!!!! Play your good shows at a time when people who have lives are watching. Is it really that hard to figure out Jetix??!!!
God thinking about this makes me mad. I can't tell you how mad thinking about this overnight schedule makes me!
Just a rant people.

None of those shows have new episodes, and ended their runs over two years ago, so they ain't really worth showing at earlier times. I do want to see WITCH at an earlier time, but it ain't happening.

Yeah I know. Their run ended, can't fight the system and all that, but do they really need to add insult to injury by airing 2 of the networks best older shows at such an ungodly hour. I mean, seriously, I find 3 a.m. to be one of the most exhausting hours of television. If they played it between midnight-2 a.m., I could understand, and even 5 a.m.-7 a.m. I could understand. But 3 a.m. is just insulting to people like me, for some reason. It's a little hard to explain.

In this regard, quality means nothing.

Neither W.I.T.C.H. nor Shinzo have enough eps. to have timeslots all to themselves, so they'd be burnt by endless reruns quickly if they were to still air them during peak viewing hours, so I think TD/Jetix should take 'em off the air in order to keep 'em from getting stale. If anything, I'd rather they bring back some old faves, like Ducktales, Gummi Bears and Peter Pan & The Pirates, because it's been a while since I've seen 'em on TV.

It's quite simple, really. W.I.T.C.H. and Shinzo are both done. And while I can't speak for Shinzo, as I've never seen it, W.I.T.C.H. only had 2 seasons, and both shows have been out of production for over 2 years now, and since neither series has any new episodes in the works, Toon Disney has no reason whatsoever to air either series at a peak viewing hour, which is reserved for new shows.
However, if you have a VCR or a DVR or TiVo or something similar, you could always record the episodes at 3am and then watch them at you leisure.

And while I can't speak for Shinzo
Shinzo ended it's Japanese run in 2000, eight years ago. Not sure about it American run though.

It's still the same! It's just that it's needlessly airing on Jetix at 4am on weekdays non-stop:shrug: .

Whoa,chill out.
Schedules change all the time.Maybe you should try recording episodes on a DVR.
And if you don't have one,borrow a friend's. ;)

How do you think I feel? I finally decide that ATOM doesn't suck, and then they yank it from weekday mornings just as I started recording it. The weekend airings are at 4 AM, and not even in the same point in the series. Granted, I stay up until at least then on Saturday and have a dvd recorder, but it's still irritating. It'll take me until sometime in September to get it all now.

Actually, I recently read that Mushrambo (the Japanese title of Shinzo) is getting some new movies in Japan in the near future. Whether they will ever show up in the US in unknown. FYI, the show debuted on the Fox Family Channel (now ABC Family) in 2001 but was taken off before getting much more than halfway through the series. When TD started airing it, they finally ran the entire series.
Both W.I.T.C.H. and Shinzo have over 40 episodes so they could both air in earlier time slots without repeating too quickly, but as they both have been on for quite a while on Toon Disney, that probably won't happen.
The real shame is that a few shows that TD has buried in late night/early morning time slots really never got more than one entire run at earlier times. Specifically, I'm referring to W.I.T.C.H., which was buried by Disney even before premiering its second season. and Oban Star Racers. The case of Oban really bugs me in that this fine anime series never got the exposure it deserved. Maybe now that it's on DVD, it'll become better known.
If series with no new eps don't deserve good timeslots, why is Fox Kids rerunning the last season of Winx Club at the present time (at 11:30 a.m. in fact)? I know there's a CG feature out in Europe but I haven't heard anything about it being released in the US. IMO, if Fox Kids can justify rerunning Winx Club 6+ months after its last episode aired, TD could easily move W.I.T.C.H. (a far superior series both artistically and storywise) to an earlier slot on weekends? While I know the ratings for Winx Club were higher than W.I.T.C.H. when they were both premiering new eps, one can't deny that W.I.T.C.H. is more interesting and challenging viewing.

Tell me about it, I had to watch the last half of season 2 elsewhere since I didn't have Toon Disney at the time. Which is a shame because the second season is probably my favorite action cartoon in a long time, and once it went to Toon Disney it was obvious it wouldn't get a third season.

If series with no new eps don't deserve good timeslots, why is Fox Kids rerunning the last season of Winx Club at the present time (at 11:30 a.m. in fact)?
1. Winx Club airs on 4KidsTV, not Fox Kids. There hasn't been a Fox Kids since September 2002. 4KidsTV is a syndicated block that airs on various network affiliates depending on the area. FOX no longer programs any of it's Saturday morning shows. They merely acquire them from 4Kids, and not every FOX affiliate airs 4KidsTV.
2. Why? Because they're approaching summer reruns, the new schedule won't start until fall and 4KidsTV doesn't have anything new to air in that time slot. It's for this same reason why 4KidsTV always brings back Sonic X whenever there's a gap in it's schedule to fill. Also, Winx Club got higher ratings than The Adrenaline Project, which while it fulfilled 4KidsTV's E/I requirement, was nonetheless tanking.
Anyway, 11:30am is hardly a desirable time slot for a Saturday morning show. Networks usually run the trash/filler shows during the 11 O' clock hour.

Personal opinion =/= fact. I know some people who will tell you (and tell you and tell you) that Winx Club runs rings around W.I.T.C.H., so that's all subjective. It depends on who you ask. Anyway, personal preference is irrelevant in this case. Myself, I take no side in the W.I.T.C.H. vs Winx Club debates, as I feel that both shows have their strengths and their weaknesses. I'm a neutral party. :D
But to answer your question, one reason why W.I.T.C.H. failed in the U.S. in the 1st place is because of Disney's underwhelming support of it, so why do you expect Toon Disney to treat the series any better now after it's run is completed?

You are correct, of course. Forgive my mistake..late night/morning mind cramp...

Kinda reflects their respect for not only the programming but also for their audience..."don't have anything new to air.."...what a joke. (How about airing new episodes of Di-Gata Defenders which they uncerimoniously yanked after, oh...about 10 episodes? They aren't quite as bad as KidsWB was in this area, but still...) Yeah, yeah..I know they only worry about young kids rather than older ones or early teens, but still...that's the problem--little or no respect...
Anyway, 11:30am is hardly a desirable time slot for a Saturday morning show. Networks usually run the trash/filler shows during the 11 O' clock hour.
Again, maybe not for their precious target demo..here's an idea...why not schedule a show on the basis of its target audience instead of the audience you (4Kids TV, CW4Kids, CN, etc, etc,) want it to target? Maybe you'll get better ratings that way...

I know all about the numerous W.I.T.C.H. vs. Winx Club debates and I won't even go there...I like what I like and others can like what they like. Disney's lack of support was obvious..maybe with more support it would have performed better...the comic should have appeared in the US sooner with much more promotion...
