New information about CG GI Joe commercial

I made a news-post about this on my website (http://www.animatedbliss.com) and thought I would share it with you all. I sent an email to the folks at Reel FX (the company responsible for the commercial) to see if there were any future plans involving GI Joe in CG and they had this to say:



There has been an overwhelmingly positive response to the :60 second version which debuted at the Toy Fair, as well as the two :30 second versions which are now on television. As far as the future of CG Joe, all we can say at this point is that there is considerable interest in developing it beyond the current application.

To handle all of the inquiries, we will be setting up a press/fan site with stills, all of the completed spots and behind the scenes interviews/clips. I will e-mail you the link when it is ready to go.

A CG GI Joe would just be TOO SWEET!!

I had heard rumors of a CG Joe movie and I think anything they do with the Joe team would have to look incredible - esp after seeing that commercial. We should probably save this now because in the future when the CG Joe series hits people are going to want to see the "lost Joe episode".

I was so young while I watched that show when it first aired (not that I'm not young right now of course :)) but something inside me is still saying this is gonna be really cool.

Although my only memory of GIJOE was when the blonde leader guy got stabbed through the shoulder with the head Cobra guy's staff thing I was majorly freaked out! lol. Boy that was funky. :)

I can't remember a THING about the show, except that the bad guys were named cobra, THAT'S IT, altough I remember that I did like the show, I was always more of a TMNT kid than a Transformers or GI Joe one, but that CGI commercial I saw was AWESOME, I thought it was a mini pilot to a new show....hopefully it was ^^
